"Great location. Quiet area. Good value for money. Ideal size for a couple. Pet friendly. Perfect base for hiking as only a short drive to popular peaks. Parking tricky due to narrow street, limited spaces. Kitchen basically a conservatory, so most of the day time difficult to spent time in due to heat (late June). Would be very cosy in winter, autumn or early spring. "

"Overall this was a good stay, rooms were nice and clean and there was plenty of space for 10 adults to stay. However, both ovens failed to heat properly which made cooking a bit of a pain. Check in process was not great, only being able to arrive between 5-6, the owner did not respond to any prior messages. Despite this, the local area was stunning, and the house was fit for purpose and good value considering the price of other locations in the area for a group this size."

"Property was spot on. The owners provided use of the garage opposite which was more than enough room to store our 3 motorbikes. The property was lovely, quant and had everything we could need for our 3 day motorbike tour of Wales. There we could walk to a very nice pub and shop in Gilwern which took only about 10 minutes. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a lovely quiet cottage around the Brecons. "

"Lovely views the hosts were very welcoming. The wild life was great its not everyday that you can be sitting outside, with deer wondering through your back garden . The local pubs were good value and staff very accommodating lThe cottage itself was very clean and had all you would require for a short stay."

"Lynn and her team were very welcoming and the apartment was very clean and comfortable. Being able to charge our EV overnight was also a huge plus. The apartment is ideally suited for short breaks and is not sure whether it wants to be a hotel suite or a self catering venue. That being said we were able to cook a lot of different meals, but a few more cleaning materials and equipment would have been welcome. I was able to borrow a broom from the hotel, and possibly could have borrowed more if...

"Really lovely place to stay, it was a great holiday home, literally smack bang in the middle of the Forrest of Dean so most things were only a 5 mins car ride or 15 mins on the bike. Owners provided everything we needed, would definitely recommend"

"We loved our stay at Merryview, the location is stunningly beautiful! The bungalow was warm and inviting, everything was lovely and clean and the beds were very comfy. Kitchen and laundry facilities were excellent and the little welcome pack was a lovely thought. If you're looking for a quiet, rural, undisturbed stay we can definitely recommend!"
