Perfect autumnal reflections in this 15 shot pano taken during a photography trip to the Lake District. We couldn't have picked a better day as the reflections made this place truly awesome. The reflections had actually disappeared as we crossed the bridge but as if by magic the ripples disappeared and the perfect reflection returned. #reflections

"We, 4 adults, spent 3 nights there and it was nice that we always had hot water and the heating warmed up quickly the cottage. There is a nice view from the balcony. Although the cabin is advertised for 6 people the 2 bunk beds are for children as adults might find them too small and short therefore I would not recommend it for 6 adults. "

"We had a wonderful stay at the shepards hut. The heating and lights had been put on reasy for our arrival as we were later than the check in time . Carol the owner had messaged me earlier in the day with directions which was a nice welcome. She had also given us a lovely recommendation for somewhere to eat that evening. "Nice private area, great view, peaceful, cosy cabin Tv very hard to get a decent signal even with WiFi, toaster probably needs replacing as had to stand holding the plunger down whilst toasting the bread as it would click into place to stay in and blue spark inside as it was pushed down, shower wouldn’t turn off on the actual shower ( it keeps shutting off then immediately comes back on) so turned it off by the cord switch outside shower. These are not complaints just something we guess doesn’t...

"Booked this fairly last minute for a bit of peace and quiet and good views and it did not disappoint! Place was spotless with everything you could need. Beautifully situated to give amazing views while also giving you quiet. Love my neighbours entertaining me - the wonderful animals on the property 😃 will definitely be back again ❤️"

Great place for a relaxing stay

"Great place to stay.The service was really good. The staff were friendly and efficient. We had two rooms both of which were immaculately clean and very comfortable We ate in the bar and the food was tasty they also offered a complimentary breakfast which was excellent I would recommend it and will stay again if we are in the area"

"Fantastic hotel. We stayed for two nights bed and breakfast. We were attending a wedding locally. The host was fabulous. Very personable and friendly. She made us feel so welcome. Helped us with anything we needed. Even helped when we couldn’t get a taxi and drove us personally to our venue. Amazing service. Rooms very comfortable and clean. Breakfast lovely. Would definitely recommend this hotel x "

"The hotel all staff are amazing the food was excellent and so was the breakfast. The spa was great but the hotel it's self is looking tiered definitely needs a lick of paint especially the bedrooms. Thanks for the staff putting a chocolate muffin in the room for my wife's birthday "

"We loved our stay at this property. We had dinner in the pub and the food was delicious and very generous portions, friendly staff and a room with pool table, darts and games for children. Room was large, comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was amazing! You preorder the night before and can select as many items as you want from an extensive list!! Would highly recommend and would stay again if ever in the area again. "
