"Clean and tidy room No air conditioner it was extremely hot over 31 degrees celsius and the window could not be opened due to a window safety cable. We had to cut our stay shorts it was just too hot and we could not sleep in the room. Very stuffy fan just circulated hot air. Very disappointing thought Best Western had a minimum standard across the chain this one certainly did not compare to others....."

Food was very good and the full English was excellent. The idea of filling out what you wanted for breakfast the previous day was not really how I would like it as this might change, I would prefer to decide on the day. Conclusion: The accommodation was a little tired and in need of a spruce up."

"This hotel is the back of beyond and not very pleasant.. restaurant not open for evening meals due to the heat.. no fans in the rooms so broken ones were found but were absolutely filthy .. it appeared that the ground floor of the hotel was let to the local housing team for those in need… cleaning staff were lovely and helpful as were both the front of house team but would not recommend staying here … this should be solely turned over to the local council…"

"We had a fantastic stay at the butchers arms. They were very friendly and helpful. We had a problem with another hotel and Andrew and his team couldn’t do enough for us. What a lovely place to stay.
