5/5 Excellent
"This hotel is absolutely stunning. From the architecture to the art to the gorgeous views, everything is so well curated and well presented. The staff really does make this place an absolute pleasure. My stay would not have been anywhere near as enjoyable if it weren’t for Rafa, Dany and Max. They were all so welcoming and friendly. The hotel’s restaurant was very good, and the bar selection gave me a wonderful opportunity to try fantastic local spirits. I honestly didn’t want to leave the property.
With that being said, this hotel definitely has its quirks. Each room is individual and different…sexy and sophisticated. BUT…you can hear every single noise from the restaurant above. I spoke with the staff about this and heard about the great lengths they’ve gone through to remedy this. They actually closed down the hotel for two weeks to pull up the entire restaurant floor and install sound deadening foam. Unfortunately it didn’t work. The good news is that everything closes up and quiets down around 11pm.
There is also no air conditioning. In the entire hotel. So even with the room fan on high, it was still quite warm. If you have to have your hotel room cold, this may not be the place for you.
The hotel also lacks a few conveniences of other normal hotels. There are no irons or ironing boards in the rooms. Nor are there any ice machines. They do have tiny refrigerators and safes, though.
Despite these quirks, this hotel is absolutely worth a stay. I enjoyed it greatly"
