"We only had a very short stay but found the property to be a beautiful old farmhouse with fantastic old features, lovely open fire with plenty of logs and character. Old worn stairs, exposed wooden beams and not a right angle in the place ! Nice and quiet and well out the way. Doggy was very welcome as well."

"The property was a great base for a short stay in Chester for a family of 5. We were no more than 15 minutes from some of the notable local attractions and amenities. The house itself suited our needs and was in a quiet neighbourhood. The house and rooms were of ample size to accommodate 2 adults and 3 children (all under 13)."

"A lovely, welcoming property, which was perfect for a catch up, with ample beds, towels and bedding, enough utensils for cooking a quick meal before relaxing with drinks on the patio, in the hot tub, in the airy living space or all of the above! Everything was well appointed and easy to find, loved the en suite wet room. The chickens provided unexpected entertainment and the neighbouring sheep and alpacas were very chill. "Perfect for exploring Chester on foot and close to the station. Lovely comfy beds but the house itself was not as clean as I would have liked and there are a few maintenance issues but nothing to spoil the stay. We had a great week there. The size of the house was perfect for our family of 5 with older teenagers, not a huge amount of living space for a bigger group though."

The rooms are comfortable, the kitchen is at the heart of the property and we could all sit around the table to eat our meals.The location is great for walks and the garden good for exploring. "Stayed for 1 night and everything was great. Hot tub was ready and hot for us as stated. The house was spotless and garden was tidy. Only fault i could find is that the bath plug doesn’t shut fully, but it’s also a shower so it doesn’t matter. The smallest bedroom out of the 3 had a bed and which was kinda like a camp bed so the edges were metal but it wasn’t an issue either really."

"14 of us stayed at The Oaks for a hen weekend and had a lovely time. Caroline was super helpful and responsive in the lead up to our stay and over the weekend as well. The house is in a great location – lovely, peaceful setting but close enough to Chester to get in and out of town easily.
