"A gem of a property, with absolutely everything needed (and more!) to entertain a group of friends for a long weekend."

"Location excellent. Grounds and gardens beautiful with plenty of wildlife. Cottage quaint but in need of modernisation. Kitchen basic but needs new drawers as couldn't open many. Not much surface space to prepare food on. No where to keep supplies purchased other than work surfaces and fridge. Shower was not great, needs to be attached to the wall. Could do with a proper electric one to be honest. Bathroom bin not emptied from previous occupier. No wifi and phone signal not great. Not always a...

"This is a lovely place to stay, a hidden gem. My only comment would be that we did object to some banging the door and trying to get in at 8:30 this morning. Then as we wouod packing up to leave at around half 10, the same bloke was sat leaning against the front window. Told us he was waiting to clean the place! Him aside we enjoyed our stay"

"Location was excellent, house was huge, lots of space for 10 guests. Rooms were comfortable and ensuites in each room. Ad needs updating as there isnt a hot tub. "

"We stay at the Sea Captain's Town House in August 2024. The house is really nice, very well equipped and very spacious. We all loved the house and the views over the bay are amazing. Parking can be difficult if you have more than one car but we just put one of ours in the public carpark for the week (£21) so wasn't much of an issue. 10/10 Excellent

"Lovely staff. The sunday roast was one of the best I've had from a restaurant ( & plenty of it ). The sea view was incredible, we actually saw dolphins from our room. There was ample tea/coffee & milk, a large tv but the beds were absolutely incredible, they were so comfortable as was the linen. If I was to stay again in New Quay I would 💯 stay at the Penwig hotel again xx"
