"Overall, the hotel is great. We had a little hiccup the first night when pulling out the sofa bed - We discovered that the underside of the sofa bed hadn’t been cleaned in a while. There was a ton of crumbs and little critter carcasses on the mattress. We also discovered a few dead tiny roaches on one of the mattresses in one bedroom. The hotel staff were super kind, however, and did come and sanitize the next day. The rest of our stay went off without a hitch - And I would definitely stay here again, just double triple check your mattresses."

"I was upgraded to a king suite which was a nice surprise. Initially I gave all high marks upon checking-in as the room was clean and staff was courteous and professional. It wasn’t until the morning that things changed. When I flipped on the light in the bathroom, probably 6 to 8 roaches scattered from under my toiletrie bag and I saw one in the tub. Unfortunately, I saw one run across the bed and when I emptied my bag out, there were 2 baby roaches inside. When I checked out a couple of hours later, I informed the desk clerk who was very apologetic. If it wasn’t for the roaches, I would have kept the 5 star rating."

"My new favorite place to stay when we head to Galveston! Location is perfect for traveling to the island. Staff is friendly and very helpful (shoutout to Ashley and Monique). Hotel is so clean and smells great! Our room was so spacious, clean and had everything we needed and more. And let’s not forget about breakfast! Breakfast was great!!! We will definitely be back!"

"I made a reservation at Courtyard by Marriott through Expedia. When I arrived at the hotel late in the evening, the hotel staff informed me that I needed to pay for the room because, according to them, Expedia had not sent the payment. I have used Expedia many times to make hotel reservations and have never experienced this issue before. The staff repeatedly insisted that the payment had not been received, which created an uncomfortable and stressful situation after a long day of travel. To be clear, my complaint is not about Expedia. My concern is with the way the hotel handled the situation and communicated with me. I believe the matter should have been addressed more professionally and without placing the burden on the guest. Thank you for your attention to this matter."
