"Lovely friendly staff, nice clean room, great shower, plenty of tea/coffee/biscuits/water supplied. A good selection of beers, very nice evening meal, (only had a main) and the breakfast this morning was superb. Thank you to all the staff, will visit again. "

"We really enjoyed our one-night stay at the inn. We managed to snag an amazing deal at half the usual rate. Our 2-bedroom room was very clean - only a couple of snags were experienced. The first sleeping area had no bedside lighting and the second had no accessible mains supply! The breakfast included was excellent. The setting for the inn is fantastic - lovely area to walk around."

"Clean and quirky if a little musty smelling room. We slept well and were given a warm welcome. Breakfast was good and my boiled eggs cooked to perfection. Tempered a bit by an unhappy waitress at lunch on Monday. Maybe short staffed? Great food and overall a wonderful place to stay "

"The radiator in the room didn't work. I went to see the staff, and the boiler wasn't switched on, which is very strange for January !!. The boiler was on but the radiator didn't work on either day of my visit. 2 heaters were provided, but the person in charge wasn't aware of the issue with the boiler/radiator, which was poor in my view."

"This is the second time we've stayed at the Mason Freehouse, it was lovely the first time we stayed, which made us keen to return. Although it is now under new management, it's clear that the lovely, friendly, warm welcoming atmosphere is something the staff are keen to retain. We're looking forward to coming back and staying again, as the plans for new menus sound fantastic. Room sizes and facilities are very adequate for a short stay. The location is very central for the surrounding walks,...

"Excellent food at good prices. Room was a decent size and well decorated. Bathroom, although private, was a separate room, and not described as such when booking. Not a problem to ne, byt might have been to others."

"Beautiful cosy and comfortable cottage ideally situated in the glorious setting of Grassington. Local pubs and food were great. People very friendly and welcoming. Stunning scenery and even managed to see Wharfdale play rugby on Saturday (yes they won). Would definitely come back, almost forgot an epic trip to Wensleydale to the cheese makers. Absolutely fascinating and lots of cheese purchased"
