"My second stay was as good as the first! The cottage is well-equipped, very clean and within easy walking distance of the beach, canal and town centre. The Wi-Fi works perfectly as does the tv, cooker, hot water etc. A designated parking place is a real bonus for a town like Bude as is the outside space with table and chairs."

"Property situated on quiet housing estate within 5-10min walk to beach. House just the right size for our group with 3 double bedrooms, well equipped kitchen, lovely south facing garden & good size lounge. Negatives are that all the floorboards upstairs are very noisy, as are the 2 showers, to the extent that they couldn't be used if people were sleeping. We also found a pair of secateurs on the wall outside which was a massive concern as our 5 year old granddaughter was with us! The keyholders...

The silence was only interrupted by occasional sounds of cows and sheep in the adjoining fields and the call of the resident pheasant. Diane was welcoming and helpful. "What a fantastic experience being able to spend a week a very old Manor House. We found it comfortable, cosy and enjoyed being able to sit in the garden. Location couldn’t have been better, 5minute walk to a lovely beach, high street, restaurants and pubs. Host Gina and Jon were easily contactable and made us feel very welcome."

"Located on the edge of a tiny rural Devon village, this property was the perfect getaway for us and our dog. The village pub is great (although you have to be up for the walk up the steep road to get there), and the property hosts were there if you needed them, totally non-invasive if you didn’t. They left very useful recommendations, which we followed and were not disappointed. The patio area is a lovely sun trap well into the evening. A bit more garden for our bigger dog would’ve been great,...

"Cheaper than most and fractionally dated in its decor but thats reflected in the price. Great value for money. Located so closely to Bude. The perfect base to come backbto each day in a quiet location. The main road is noisy but you font hear it from inside the property. Views from the back garden a beautiful (yes you can see the sea). Check in and out was super smooth too. No real bad points."

"Had a lovely holiday week. We had the house and flat, ideal for our party of 9 and three dogs. Plenty of space for everyone to relax. Kitchens have just been refurbished, main house one wasn't quite finished but not a problem. Love the outside space too, enclosed garden for the children and dogs. Visited both the pubs for drinks and meals too, good food and welcome."

Lovely short walk to Woolacombe beach and Mortehoe as well as other coastal paths on the doorstep. Host Johnny very helpful & friendly.
