"Beautiful building, a little tired and in need of some love but seeped in history, seamless check in, helpful staff, room was extremely clean, very comfy bed and a good nights sleep, tea and coffee facilities in room also, spacious and clean bathroom with nice fluffy white towels, furniture in keeping with the period of the hotel, fabulous location, on site car park and value for money, would stay here again"

"This a lovely well kept hotel and the staff were all very polite and helpful. We had pizza in the lounge bar which very good. The breakfast was continental self serve and was enjoyable. You can order a cooked breakfast if you prefer for an additional fee. The only thing to mention was the room was very hot in early October (the heating wasn’t on) although did notice there was a free standing fan available in the room."

"Great hotel in a great location. The staff were all wonderful, polite and helpful. My only grumble is that the beds and pillows were rock hard, so sleeping was an issue. But apart from that, it's a great hotel which I would recommend. (If you like a softer bed, make sure to take a memory foam mattress topper and your own pillow)."

"Hotel is out of the way and on a one way system, but managed to navigate. Arrived during a party so spaces in the car park were limited. Also arrived to find signs about ANPR parking. When asked about it, was told the cameras hadn’t been fitted (signs up 3 days early) and there was nothing about a change on the property info. Staff were pleasant and the room was decent. I read reviews about issues with the ‘balcony’. We got a balcony, it’s old but safe. Lovely view, but I could see an issue being a lower level balcony room and insects, but we were on the top floor. Would stay again if in the area."
