"Simple & quick to check in. Superb reception. Excellent "normal" food choices (subject to me being gluten-free). Friendly and helpful staff. Clean & fresh room & hotel. Lovely grounds & environs with interesting history. If we come back to the UK & are in this area, staying here again is a certainty. "

"This property is stunning . The breakfast is excellent. Cleanliness is top class . Staff are welcoming and very pleasant people. Grounds are kept immaculate by the grounds staff - who deserve a special mention for their excellent efforts . My minor negative is that , although the evening meals are excellent and tasty , the menu needs at least one “ Today’s special” on it that changes Daily .. as after 2 nights we had both used our options up on the very restricted choice menu - and so we had to eat out in the locality to try for something different and so not repeat ourselves. "
