Spacious and bright apartment in the private condo Quinta da Gandarinha. In the condo you have a big garden and a swimming pool. You can also park inside de condo and it has 24h access control. The condo is located at aprox 1Km from the center of Cascais, the marina as well as from Casa da Guia. Boca do Inferno is at 600m.

The apartment itself is spacious. Entering the apartment, to your right you have a big living room with a modern flatscreen TV, a balcony and a dining area with a wood table and 6 chairs. To the other side of the entrance you have the kitchen that comes with a washing machine, drying machine, dishwasher, stove, oven and all the cooking utensils you'll need. It has also a table should you want to have some light meals there. After the living room you have another room with balcony and two single beds. Infront there is a bathroom with shower. You then have another bedroom with two single beds and also a balcony and another bedroom with a double bed. The bedrooms have closets and there is a second bathroom with bath. You have wifi access throughout the apartment. There is a swiming pool in the condo for you to relax and enjoy the weather. Please be aware that you should comply with the condo rules while staying at the property. At arrival you'll be requested to fill and sign a form agreeing with the condo rules.

With a mix of classic and modern design you can benefit from the condo security and tranquility while staying in Cascais. An excellent choice for a family vacation.

Good apartment but pool was closed

Spacious well equipped apartment in residential area Communication about the pool being unavailable. Booked apartment specifically because there was a swimming pool. Booking was made in February and pool closed in March for three months to upgrade. This should have been disclosed at time of reservation not 2 months later when there was no longer an option to cancel without penalty. Other building works woke up my family early on the weekdays and there were no working outside lights at the main entrance to our apartment block

This property is not as advertised. We would have left the day we arrived, but would have lost over $4,000.00 euros. The kitchen and bathrooms had mold/mildew on the sinks and shower surfaces. The mattress and pillows in the main bedroom were stained. Many of linens were stained, worn, and had holes. The leather couch is worn and torn. Other furniture was torn, stained, or broken, Management did not notify us that the pool would be closed for 3 months beginning the month of our stay. It is a shame that this place is in such a state of disrepair as the location is fantastic. The photos posted on the rental site depict this apartment as modern and clean when in fact it needs a deep cleaning, updating, and furniture replacement. We sent photos of all issues to management. Their response was to offer us a discount off a future stay. I cannot recommend this apartment and would not stay at any property owned by this management company.

Spacious but needs maintenance and repairs

Located in a large, well maintained, secure apartment complex in a nice area of Cascais close to many attractions, this apartment provided ample living space for our group of four adults. We appreciated the new refrigerator, dishwasher, clothes washer and dryer and the ‘on-demand’ hot water heater that provided abundant hot water. However, there are some issues of concern with the property. We were misled by photos on VRBO showing a “bright and airy” apartment along with a well-maintained exterior. Exterior photos are accurate, but interior photos are not. The apartment is “dark and gloomy” with well-worn surfaces and in need of a thorough cleaning, painting and updating of finishes; unit is probably 40 or 50 years old. Appears to have been neglected for many years. Bathrooms are not clean; considerable mould exists along caulking at joints, cracked in places. Sinks are well-worn and scratched from years of use. Cabinets are dirty with scum from other material. Toilet seats were loose. The gas range in the kitchen is dangerous. Must be lit by match. Probably some 40 or 50 years old, no electronic ignition and no automatic gas shut off if elements ignite and not stay lit. Only two of the four elements worked reliably. The range hood needs replacement as well. Comments were provided to the Rental Manager who acknowledged them and undertook to ‘check into them’. In its present state, we would not return to this property nor recommend it to other travellers.
