"great place to wind down before going home"

"We couldn't have been happier with our stay. Ralph made us feel very welcome and was extremely helpful with recommendations on where to go and eat etc. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed, and was in a great location, minutes from the beach and local amenities, including supermarkets, bars and restaurants. Praia das Maçãs is a very chilled and relaxing place to stay and we met some lovely people. We stayed 12 nights and loved it. Thank you Ralph, we hope to be back! :-)"

"very homely studio with great view and close to town and surfing beach. Jesida and her husband was lovely host. They were friendly and gave us warm welcome. our flight was early and requested early check in and there was no problem. There were builders in the premises for renovation work during mornings but didn't really bother us. only down point was there were ants near the inside door /dinning area which we couldn't seem to get rid of and lots of construction noises around the neighbourhood....

"We greatly enjoyed our stay in this nice lovely cottage with its unique rural style and design. The host is extremely friendly and always helping with any requests. The welcome basket is absolutely amazing – we just loved to reenergise ourselves after a long trip with the delicious local treats. The area around is nice and calm – perfect for a family get away and taste the Portuguese style. We found everything we may need for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend."

"Relativement bien 30min de Lisbonne ce qui est facilement accessible La maison est relativement équipée Une piscine et un jardin appréciable Cependant la maison a des problèmes d’humidité (mur avec des cloques) Et soucis de prise et de lumière (lumière qui ne fonctionne pas et prise complètement arrachés au mur ce qui est très dangereux avec des enfants en bas âges…)"

"It is difficult to criticise the property and grounds. All very good. It is a little remote, but access to eg supermarkets and beach is very quite close to hand. The pool and BBQ area are excellent. Ages ranged from 13 to 80, and we had a great holiday. Thanks"

"This house is homey and spacious. It does not have a hot tub. The beds are good and the views are amazing. There is definitely an electrical problem that was addressed but not solved during our stay (3 weeks). You can not run the heating units/AC all together, you cannot run the dishwasher and washing machine together. The electric supply is not sufficient for the house. We worked around it and had a good stay but if you’re not handy probably you should stay elsewhere."

"A quiet place, surrounded by pine trees and not far from the beaches and the sights of Sintra. The house is tastefully decorated and offers everything necessary for a pleasant stay. We will be happy to come back."

"The hotel was fantastic! Incredibly beautiful house, like a small castle. We were welcomed by the owner Ana who showed us around and made us feel very welcome. Beautiful natural garden with lots of space for the children to play and go exploring. Personal and warm atmosphere. Breakfast in front of the fireplace was a highlight. Would definitely recommend this unique and personal place to anyone and will be more than happy to return."

"We had a wonderful 2 day stay at the Mill House near Santa Cruz. Carla and her family were incredibly welcoming, generous and warm people. Right after check in we got a tour of the farm that is part of the property and her husband gave us samples of some things they grow there. Carla, her husband and daughter were extremely helpful and responsive to any little issues that came up. I would highly recommend this property to anyone planning a visit to the area and especially families that can take...

"Met by a fluent English speaker who knew the area was a great beginning to a one week stay at the cottage. Everything was better than expected. It was quiet and clean and in a prefect location. What a week we had."

"An ideal retreat to escape the hustle and bustle. The flats are tastefully and modernly furnished. The facilities are very good and the large pool provides refreshment on the hot days. The landlords proved to be very accommodating and helpful. So our second stay here was again very pleasant."

"An incredible home in an incredible area. There is so much to do nearby but yet we found that our favorite thing to do in the whole country was coming back to this villa after a day of wandering about. We will find a way to make it back one day."

"We booked this because I wanted to be near the sea = we were actually high up on a rocky promontory but that was fine, view was great and we were not in the midst of loads of people. One issue is parking - we had no trouble but I can see during busy times that there may be. But there seems to be enough, just need to be creative. The house was clean and has everything - no AC but with the sea air, probably no need,. It does take time to get used to the European way of heating water for showers...
