The food was, quite honestly, the best I've had in all of Switzerland, a testament to their exceptional quality and skill. However, the true highlight of my stay, and what made Hotel Onya truly shine, was Isabelle. She was an absolute delight – consistently warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful. Her genuine hospitality and delightful demeanor made every interaction a pleasure, and the owners are truly fortunate to have her representing their establishment. The waitstaff throughout the restaurant was also remarkably friendly and attentive, further enhancing the overall experience. After spending five days exploring Switzerland, our time at Hotel Onya was unequivocally our favorite part. I am already planning my return, eager to experience the hotel and its surroundings in the winter, to enjoy the snow side rather than just the hiking. "We greatly enjoyed our stay in the chalet. Everything was in its proper place and we wanted for nothing. The chalet is cozy but very comfortable (especially for a couple) and the living room although cozy had 2 very comfortable sofas. The hardwood floors are great for people with allergy issues! Although we were there in winter and could not enjoy the porch area, it clearly would be an outstanding area in summer. Ernen and Muelebach are quiet in winter and the views are spectacular of the mountains over Fiesch. A well equipped Volg is a few minutes away. Buses run to all locations. We greatly enjoyed our interactions with Elsbeth and Eric and hope to return someday. "
