Amosa Liège City Centre Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Out of the five hotels we stayed at during our trip around Belgium and Luxembourg, Amosa Liege City Center was the best. Our room had everything we needed for comfort. Everything was in perfect condition and everything worked as expected. Breakfasts were outstanding and worth the money (try the fresh pressed orange juice). Coffee/tea is available at any time. City parking structure is only 50 meter (150 feet away) at 17 euro per day and we could stop 20 meters from the hotel door to unload our bags. There are many bars and small restaurants within a few minute walk. The only downside is the square in front of the hotel. It is not clean and (according to our friend who had windows facing the square) at night it can be noisy but this is not uncommon for the entire Liege -- just ask for a quiet room. The staff was very helpful and promptly replied to my pre-arrival emails and gave a good advice on dining and shopping sites."

"Large rooms - high ceiling ++ Big shower ++ Soundproofing of rooms ++ Rooftop restaurant food was amazing !! So was the view 😊 Minor issues... TV did not work Phone to reception didnt work Shower... 1 evening with cold water only Sometimes long waits at the elevator... there is only one 🙃"

"L'emplacement de l'hôtel est très bien, juste devant la gare, et des arrêts d'autobus et de tramway. C'est toutefois assez bruyant dans les environs. Lors de notre première nuit, il faisait très chaud et nous ne pouvons rien y faire parce que le changement vers le mode été du système de climatisation n'avait pas encore été fait. Les chambres sont très petites, mais confortables. C'est un peu incommodant de devoir utiliser la carte de la chambre pour entrer dans l'hôtel et utiliser l'ascenseur, parce que nous n'avons qu'une seule carte par chambre."

"We checked in after hours, system did not have us, had to call and get help. Lady was helpful and spoke good English. Made the process difficult and frustrating after a long day. Room was large, clean and well equipped. Must do your own dishes/ cups or pay extra. No parking."

Garner Hotel Maastricht by IHG

"The room was clean. However, it was a very hot day and the air conditioning did not cool the room, even when left overnight. There were some strange features like a hugely oversized head board and a tiny television. One end of the room was painted black. Lots of attempts at style but felt that this is at the expense of the usefulness, like tiny side bedlamps which were only lit if the whole headboard was lit up too. Breakfast was mediocre. Shame as the staff were all lovely."

"Chambre avec lit très confortable et salle de bain très fonctionnelle. À quelques pas de la gare. Très propre. Succulent déjeuner gratuit et choix varié. Nous avons beaucoup aimé notre séjour."

"As for me as a solo traveler this hotel was perfect for me.. My room was on the 1st floor.. A/C worked great, and the bed was comfortable.. The shower was great and breakfast was good.. Its an older hotel so the halls have old carpet.. But the room had new windows and could hear nothing from outside.. Parking garage across street at train station.. And plenty of food options all around.. I will stay here again next time I come.."

"Room was clean and nice location for walking along the river and in to old town. Confirmed during check in that AC was operational as it is very hot this week. Told it was to then find out the restrict your ability to use it. Room would not go below 18 and it was warm, stuffy and sticky in there so not an enjoyable stay. Staff assistance was requested with no solution or override of system provided. Not impressed and would not stay again in warm weather."

"Broken towel rack So no place to dry towels Most lights in room and bathroom don’t work Had air conditioner but no remote to use Carpet was well used Breakfast was good Bacon and Vienna sausage 😋"
