"Le Maria is a very nice house with a wonderful pool and garden area. A happy herd of cows lives on the other side of the garden wall and the clanging of their bells gives a tranquil countryside feel. The owners Graziella and Sara were extremely helpful and responsive. We did not have the problems with electricity mentioned in other reviews. The kitchens (there are two) are generally well equipped but some more pots, pans, kitchen knives and chopping boards would be good to have."

"We had a wonderful relaxing stay here. The surroundings are beautiful and well maintained with a very good sized pool. The hosts couldn’t be more helpful and were very happy to help with recommendations of places to visit. Francesco was amazing helping to translate for us all! A really idyllic setting and we were able to relax and enjoy our time on Scilly."

"We had a wonderful holiday at Paolo's villa. It is a real gem of a house with a wonderful pool, and great views right over the countryside towards Syracuse and the coast. "The property is accessible by a long, windy and very stony road and we had rented an SUV-type car which was perfect having read the reviews in advance of booking. The house is well located for driving out to places (Noto, Modica, Syracuse, beaches, etc). Giorgio and his family were very welcoming (a meal and food awaited us on our arrival). The house is well equipped, the beds were all comfortable, garden and swimming pool are very well maintained and the location is super-peaceful."

"Elio welcomed us with a magnificent spread of local delicacies and a bottle of wine. The villa itself is comfortable, well laid out and well decorated. "Every aspect of this Villa was phenomenal. From the booking to the property. Absolutely awesome. The hosts were more then accommodating. The rooms were amazing. The property was breathtaking. "A very helpful and friendly host. The accommodation is in need of uprading. The external furniture was of poor quality plastic or old wood without any pads. There were no parasols. The waste disposal arrangements are inadequate. Air conditioning should be installed upstairs as a minimum. The steps up to the town are overgrown and totally unlit. This is not Lucio's fault but he should accurately describe the situation. The property has great potential. Lucio is a superb host"

"The house is lovely with a great pool and a beautiful garden. House is well equipped. Location is a bit remote so car is a MUST as nearest town is 11km, 20 min by car. Nearest beach is 25 minutes drive. Overall though as long as you plan your food shopping well the house will provide a very comfortable stay"

"The property itself is very small but for two people it's perfect. Open plan with a little somewhat steep staircase up to the bedroom area. We like to be off the beaten track and this just right for us, the private courtyard (that includes the shower/washing machine) was a good size with multiple seating options available. Use of the families pool with views for miles including mount Etna was wonderful. Enzo was always available if needed, the Wifi wasn't working initially but he got it...
