"Lovely hosts with great local recommendations. Went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed . Spent a full day relaxing by the pool during a heat wave. Easy access to St Emilion. Comes with a bonus friendly fat chateau cat on the grounds."

"Staff were friendly and helpful. The coffee machine in the kitchen for breakfast was not working well, but other than getting a good cup of coffee, everything was fantastic! Room was beautiful, and the winery tour was also really nice. Highly recommend!"

"Ch Haut-Brisson must be the best kept secret in all of the Bordeaux area! "Couldn't be better"

"Didn’t live up to expectations that have been set by Expedia, lacked amenities in the room, welcome/reception area didn’t feel professional, walls were very thin so could hear anyone walk in the corridor and up the stairs. Lacked the attention to detail that I would expect from a new hotel."

"It was an absolute delight to stay with Nathalie and Olivier who have lovingly restored the Chateau. They were charming hosts and made the stay one to remember. The renovation of the chateau provides a modern and spacious room that has also retained the charm of the old building. The meals were delightful and prepared by the hosts using fresh local produce. I'd thoroughly recommend Malis Castera to anyone wanting to stay in the wine region."

"Its location is brilliant. Make sure you get directions from the hotel directly before you arrive. I would stay again"

"Hotel manager was exceptionally helpful, kind and hospitable. We trully enjouyed our time in Melchior and with Mr. Manager"

"We had amazing time during our stay. Staff who were assisting us were very friendly, helpful and went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. Bouchra and Natalia were great hosts. We would strongly recommend this place to travellers looking for a quiet chateau experience close to Bordeaux."
