Easy and comfortable, enjoy the quaint town of Lewes and the beach from your home base at The Pink Lady, a landmark Victorian with sweeping wrap-around porch. Fresh sheets and towels provided upon your arrival, internet WIFI is at the highest speed available through Xfinity, kitchen fully stocked and plentiful soap and paper products. All meant to provide our guests with an easy, stress-free, comfortable stay where everyone can spread out and do their own thing, and come together for meals in the family room or more formal dining room.

Staying here is like staying in your own private Bed & Breakfast. Relax in this beautiful Victorian, greet the day with a cup of coffee on the porch and plan the perfect day in the sweet town of Lewes - at the beach, shopping, or at a great meal in any of the fun local places like Agave, Nectar or Heirloom. For more adventures, bike over to Cape Henlopen or drive to Rehoboth for fun and games on the boardwalk.

ABOUT THE HOUSE

'The Pink Lady', built at the turn of the century, has been completely renovated and updated to today's modern standards. There is two-zoned AC so that everyone stays very comfortable, high-speed WIFI, cable, fully-equipped kitchen, outdoor grill and large lawn.

At 3000 square feet, the home is one of the most spacious rental homes in the Historic District. The home is furnished with high-quality new furniture and beautiful antiques. The home sleeps up to 10 people, in 4 bedrooms: 3 upstairs and 1 on the main level. All bed mattresses are new.

ON THE MAIN LEVEL: You will find a spacious living room with gas fireplace...formal dining room...Large, well-stocked, updated kitchen open to casual eating space and family room with sectional and 50' flat screen TV. Access to driveway and door to porch from the family room. Many wrap-around windows make the family room light and bright. The back bedroom has 2 twin beds, and full bathroom with jetted soaking tub and rainfall shower head. Gorgeous pine wood floors throughout, with the exception of tile floor in the family room - a practical choice when coming home from the beach.

UPSTAIRS: Large en-suite primary bedroom, with King bed (Saatva luxury mattress), full bathroom (walk-in shower), large closets and 40' flat screen television...second bedroom with Queen bed...and third bedroom with 2 Queen beds, unique wood walls and cathedral ceiling. The second and third bedrooms share a full bath in the hallway (with combined shower and tub). Gorgeous pine wood floors throughout.

ABOUT THE YARD
The side-yard is fully fenced with a privacy fence. Mature plantings enhance the privacy as well. The fenced-in yard is about half patio and half grass. The patio is perfect for outdoor dinners, and we have a gas grill with enough propane to allow you to grill every day if you wish. The shed contains beach toys and chairs, and a few bicycles for your use.

The rest of the yard around the house is more ornamental than practical but provides for some very charming curb appeal.

Family gathering

Our stay at the Pink Lady couldn't have been nicer. The family (8 adults and 2 teens) were gathered for my father's memorial service. We all fit comfortably in the house. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out and find a quiet space or come together for games, meals and conversation. The kitchen was well stocked for everything we needed for meals. The children enjoyed the bikes and the proximity to town and the beach. We would love to come again under happier circumstances to explore the area and relax at this property.

Great property

Really great stay in Lewes. The property was clean and comfortable for our group. Centrally located and the backyard was great for our big meals. Would recommend and hopefully we can stay again in the future!

Slice of summer heaven

Everything about our stay was top notch. Beautiful, well-appointed home centrally located to town and the bay. We loved everything about our stay from morning coffee on the wrap-around porch to the cozy TV room and elegant dining room for pasta dinner with extended family who live in nearby Dewey. Loved the quaint little town as well. Great restaurants! House and gardens are gorgeous! Thank you!

The perfect beach house for family getaway!

The house was gorgeous and had everything we needed - from extra pillowcases to a spare hairdryer to every kitchen utensil and gadget we could want. The extra bicycles and beach gear were a great plus!

Wonderful week in Lewes

This was our second time staying at the Pink Lady, and again, it was great. Plenty of room for our multi-generational family to spread out, the house was well stocked, and the location is wonderful-- walking distance to town, and close to the beach. Highly recommended.

Great stay at a beautiful house!

We loved everything about our stay here. Location was great. House is beautiful and well appointed. We could avoid the crowds at the beach when we wanted to and just enjoy beautiful historic Lewes. We were here to visit family at Beebe Medical Center and it was quicker to walk and not have to worry about parking at the hospital. We would definitely stay here again.

Girls trip

We had a wonderful long weekend, lots of room to spread out with numerous amenities. Although the weather did not cooperate, we still had a wonderful time as there is plenty to do nearby. Plenty of shopping and eateries in Lewes, we will be back!

“The Beautiful Pink House”

Our family had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Christine is responsive and gracious. The home is beautiful, historic and well looked after. Everything we needed was there. Enjoyed a wonderful July 4 parade right from the porch. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in Lewes!

Family vacation

The Pinklady is a lovely and very comfortable house with lots of room to spread out. We enjoyed a backyard barbecue and some of our family used the available bikes. The kitchen is particularly well furnished with quality appliances and pots and pans and anything you need to cook a meal. Our family enjoyed our time there.

A lovely Victorian property that was well maintained and very convenient (easy walking distance) to town center. The house was well stocked with essentials. It was great not to have to immediately go to the store after arrival to get paper products or cooking or cleaning supplies.

What a great spot!

We came with family and friends for a week in Lewes. Our stay at the Pink Lady house was amazing. It is a delightful, spacious, well-supplied house that everyone enjoyed. Communication with the property owner/manager was quick and easy. The house bikes were in good condition, the beach chairs were great, and there were plenty of house beach towels for everyone! The basics in the kitchen (oil, salt, spices, sugar) made for easy cooking when we wanted. We didn’t have to worry about linens—all supplied—so logistically it was also uncomplicated. Overall, staying at this house made it easy to have a fantastic beach week for family!

Incredible Property

Incredible stay at the Pink Lady for a long weekend, and we wish we could have stayed longer. Just a short drive away from beach access at cape Henelopen state park. Also very walkable to downtown Lewes. The home literally had everything you could need. All cooking supplies both inside and out (grill and grill utensils). Incredibly clean and parking for 3 cars on property was a plus! Plenary of room for a family of 8.

Great home in Lewes

Our extended family had an excellent stay in this home. It is a truly comfortable and well furnished house. We enjoyed many meals on the patio and at the large indoor dining table in the sunroom. The formal dining room and loving room were also really useful and pleasant spaces to get together. We loved sitting on the porches and the really short walk, pleasant into town (5 to 10 minutes). Christine was immediately responsive and helpful to any questions.

Very pleasant stay in Lewes

The house itself is in great shape, and the furnishings are much more substantial than we've often found in rental properties. The shed contained a lot of beach equipment--umbrellas and boogie boards, along with a wheeled basket for hauling them. It also had a bunch of bicycles. Lewes itself is charming, and Cape Henlopen state park is a gem. In August, there was a lot of first-rate local produce available.

Great house and location!

Our family really enjoyed staying at The Pink Lady. It is a beautiful house with a charming and functional backyard. The house had a well stocked kitchen, books and games in the living room and family room, and a shed with with bicycles, boogie boards and folding chairs. I would have preferred if the owners also provided laundered sheets and TP (more than a starter roll). I still would highly recommend the house.

Fantastic

We came to Lewes for a wedding. What a great weekend we had. Love the house. The kitchen and family room was very bright and big. Sitting on the chairs in the morning on the deck having our coffee was delightful. The location is superb. I highly recommend the Pink Lady. However, some of us think it is a tad Lavender.

Wonderful stay at a house with character

Cute house with so many nice details. Great location in beautiful neighborhood. Short walk to shops/canal. About a mile from the beach. Fenced in yard is great for kids. Porch is wonderful for sitting with morning coffee. Lots of space inside. The bathroom downstairs has no shower and the downstairs bedroom is right off the kitchen, which made it an undesirable room to have. Other than that, everything was great.

Charming Victorian Home

I loved being in town, but felt privacy in the spacious Pink Lady, on the large porch and in the beautiful yard. I can't thank Christine enough for her willingness to communicate ahead of time and during our stay. There was a minor leak from a bathroom that we were lucky to catch. Christine responded immediately and had it fixed in less than 24 hours, all while being respectful about my family and our vacation. I can't wait to return!

Great home for a big group!

There were 6 adults and one child and we had more than enough room! Very homey and comfortable master bathroom was updated and beautiful! Loved this house! Loved that we could use the bikes and bike to town. We could walk to firehouse pharmacy loyds market etc we used grill and loved that they had games to play too! Would stay again! I’m picky about mattresses and have a hard time sleeping away from home and the mattresses were so comfortable not to hard and not too soft ! More than enough closet space also!! Thank you again Christine!!

Couldn’t be better

Just fabulous, as we noted in the registry book by the front door! Kitchen was loaded for all kinds of cooking and meals. We easily served 12 at the dining room table and another night 15 scattered around the sunroom and outdoors. Bedrooms were perfect. Having new fenced in yard was great for having kids there. Plenty of parking, shed was loaded with beach toys and bikes. Easy to walk into town to the shops and restaurants or walk to the canal, or even to the beach. Or we could drive to the beach or ride bikes there same with going to Henlopen SP, which was loaded with things to do. My nephews loved the disc golf there, we loved the small waves with the boogie boards, Others liked the bike trails. I could say more, but will stop by noting this was all very reasonably priced. Thx!

Great house and great location

We were a group of four women who like to play bridge and shop and eat! We sometimes stay in hotels, but we wanted to each have separate bedrooms and this house has four bedrooms. It was a very pleasant surprise that the house not only had four bedrooms, but was spic and span clean And had anything we needed. It’s two blocks from LEWES shopping area and less than a mile to the beach. Their shed had chairs umbrellas, beach toys and bikes. Everything you would need for a family trip to the beach. We had good luck in that the weekend was in the 70s to 80 the last week in October. So had a great two days at the beach. Definitely would come again.Owner/manager responded to our questions immediately.
