BUT, as our four day stay went on we came to enjoy the quirky ‘old world’ 1908 atmosphere. It became the BEST place we stayed in Sicily. Attentive staff at breakfast and at the bar in the evening. "We LOVED everything about this property. It is stunning. Beachfront. Convenient. And the staff is the BEST. Everyone from the front desk to the beach club to the restaurant. So nice, fun, helpful, and a true pleasure. We stayed in a garden room which was a stand alone round structure. Perfectly appointed. Big bathroom, great linens and strong AC to keep it cool during hot days. The beach club was our favorite amenity. Not only is it beautiful, but lounge chairs and an umbrella and towels were included with your room. Which is great because they go for $100 euro to the public. The beach club staff was amazing as were the cocktails and lunches. The property is close enough by taxi ($20 euro) to either side of Taormina town center. We would absolutely stay at La Plage Resort again! "
