"This property is impressive. The building looks like an official building close to downtown Parma, within walkable distance of the old town. The hotel main hall is stunning, and extremely well kept, very clean, with amazing ceiling heights. The rooms are huge, old but stylish. The staff is helpful and efficient. We did not expect anything special, but we were pleasantly surprised. We were able to enjoy the city and all the good places within walkable distance. "This was a terrific option for Parma. Inexpensive, convenient to train, big and modern room, great staff, wonderful breakfast. I literally have no idea what others have complained about. We thought the area very safe and didn't get asked for money once, unlike in Bologna and Verona. An easy walk into town and right by the leaving point for food tours. Can't recommend it enough. "

Staff frequently indifferent and somewhat impolite to guests including me, by both US and European standards. Perhaps no such interaction training. (I stayed 5 nights.)"
