"We had a wonderful stay at Dezie Manor in the Cottage. The house is stunning and the host Grant is extremely attentive and helpful whilst unobtrusive. The house is very well equipped and the air conditioning was extremely welcome as we had temperatures of 40 degrees. Pool was an absolute dream and cleaned daily and our six year old loved the football table and games cabinet. I would not hesitate to recommend a stay here. Very clean and well located for access to local amenities, both of historic interest and also activities for children. We visited Sarlat, the steam train in Martel, Le Bugue, a water park (15 mins away - best for younger children) and went canoeing between Campagne and Lemeuil along the Vezere. "

"From the time of the booking which we made over 18 months ago prior to our actual stay, the host, Marc was extremely communicative and responsive. We were greeted at the property by Sandrine and her husband who were charming. The facilities at the property were 2nd to none. The swimming pool was well kept as was the hot tub, the rooms were clean and the outdoor kitchen was a terrific asset. The recently added air conditioning in the downstairs bedroom was an unexpected bonus. The children spent hours in the pool and the play area and as adults we thoroughly also enjoyed the pètanque and table tennis. We saw deer in the garden and for wildlife enthusiasts, abundant interesting butterflies, and insects.The village boulangerie and boucherie were very well stocked and great additions to shopping each morning.The weather was extremely warm when we stayed, yet the house remained beautifully cool. We can thoroughly recommend this property and would love to visit again."

"We have just returned from this delightful and well equipped gite in a beautiful rural part of France. Dominique and Veronique are very welcoming and we had a much needed relaxing holiday. A week was really too short but hopefully we will return in the future to enjoy this wonderful gite and surrounding area."

Breakfast was sumptuous - Martine is quite the cook and many ingredients are sourced from the grounds. Whether you want to stay for a couple of nights or a week or more, there is plenty to see and do, and then you can go back and enjoy the comfort of Domaine du Pouzelaine. "

"The property offers two lovely, restored country houses, built before the time of Napoleon out of local limestone, outside of Rouffignac. The area is rolling terrain with agricultural land punctuated by forests. Sarlat is an easy drive away through spectacular, cliff-lined valleys. Lascaux also nearby. We stayed in both houses, one larger with a pretty terrace and swimming pool; one smaller also with terrace and pool. Both have modern kitchens and bathroom facilities. The most important thing to mention is the abundant courtesy and responsiveness of the hosts, who promptly addressed our every need. A note for anyone arriving on the A89 expressway from Clermont-Ferrand: probably best to ignore your GPS and drive almost to Périgueux, exiting at Boulazac and taking the D710 highway south. Your GPS may recommend leaving the A89 earlier and threading your way to Rouffignac on the D6089 via Thenon. We found that trickier and more time consuming."
