"We have stayed at Le Marius before and this time was in line with the lovely experiences we have had before. The village of Ricey Bas is charming. The hotel is conveniently situated just by the church in the centre of the village. Our room was so romantic, with massive beams, and a view of the château. "Property is quite beautiful in a shabby chic kind of way, although the ground is relatively small. Food is decent, but nothing too memorable. We didn’t realise it has a Michelin star, so decided to pay the premium as we didn’t want to go out after a long drive from Calais. Restaurant service was not great to be honest, we had to keep asking for our wine glass to be replenished, even though they didn’t seem to be short of staff. "
