"The Hideaway Inn itself was charming. The rooms were clean and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed the grounds and the lovely sitting room on the first floor. The Hideaway is very conveniently located and we appreciated being able to walk into town for food and entertainment. The only drawback to staying there was the check in process. There was no staff at all on the premises and so check in was all done digitally. Unfortunately, I couldn't open the email message I had been sent with the code I needed to complete the check in process. This caused confusion and was tiresome after a long drive to get to the Bershires. There was a phone at the check in desk and we eventually talked to someone who texted me the code I needed to complete the check in process. Even though our room was lovely and we had a restful and relaxing night, I don't think we will stay there again because the check in process was so cumbersome."

"Its an interesting experience in that we thought we were staying at a hotel/ inn. The pictures and the website lead one to believe that but when we got there, we saw a motel. Nothing wrong with that but we felt we had been misinformed. They push the pcitures of the Club room which looks like an inn/ restaurant but that is the front of the building but attached to it is the motel where you stay. Again, once we knew that, we were fine but honestly, we were looking for more of an Inn or a hotel/ inn. It comes over as a glorified motel. The staff is wonderful and the Club room is a nice addition but I really thought the advertising was duplicitous. We were talking to a friend about it and she agreed that she also felt misled. I'm not sure that they have to do this but I guess if you put motel, you wouldn't get as much interest nor could you charge the same? Other than that, no comment."

"The room was neat and had access to outside to enjoy sitting. The fridge in the room was a convenient size for cold and frozen foods. The staff was responsive to issues, even when I told them they could wait to fix it until after we left (it was fixed quickly. The breakfast was excellent and offered a nice variety. Would happily stay here again."

"This was a beautiful hotel close to the best part of North Adams. The gallery on the lobby floor gives it an upscale vibe but without too high a price tag. It was very convenient for our college visit to Williams College. It was very quiet even directly across from the elevator. The beds were very comfortable. The coffee was good. But,my one note would be there wasn't anything else offered for breakfast that my picky eater teenager would eat."
