"We loved staying here. It is very private, extremely clean and has plenty of room. We had a little problem finding the place in the dark (a problem with Apple Maps), and we were quickly directed by phone until we reached the correct property entrance. The lock on the gate would not open for us and after another call, the host met us quickly in person at the gate to assist with the lock. I had lined up the numbers correctly, but not in the proper horizontal row. We couldn’t ask for more out of our host!"

"We had a wonderful stay with Jen and Jeff. They thought of everything you need to stay in the area. The property is spotless and the grounds are beautiful. We truly enjoyed our stay on their little country estate nestled in the rainforest near Hilo. The location was perfect to see everything from Volcano National Park to the waterfalls and black beaches. The host is wonderful and super helpful. Highly recommend and would most definitely return if ever we make it back to the Big Island!!"

"Lovely cottage in the rainforest with coqui frogs lulling you to sleep at night. Close to Volcanoes National Park, Hilo, and the beautiful southeast coast. Quiet and peaceful. A perfect hideaway!"

"This home is a 10!! Beautiful views. Wonderful Hawaiian touches.The ocean sounds to wake up to daily was the best!Here is why I’m giving it a 6-7.There was no lei greeting. It was leis in the refrigerator. I understand we were late due to commute so I let that go.The drive from Hilo airport almost 2 hours- lots of traffic. Just had hoped they had alerted to a time range-30 minute to 2 hours is accurate rsnge. First the code to get in incorrect however Connie the caretaker got back to me quickly.It was sweltering humidity when we arrived-96%Opening Windows would have helped.When I emailed owner re: commute, humidity, she turned it around on me.I felt undermined.The weather is absolutely not her fault. But the way she responded was not good."

"This is an out-of-the-way gem (but easy to get to). Clean, and close to shore to hear waves crashing. Host was superb! Unit was smaller than expectation. Hard to use luggage rack and move around. Not so certainly about "see whales and dolphins" - but maybe it was wrong time of year. Checking and communication with host was great (5/5)!"
