"The property, location, and staff were great! I didn’t like having to pay $25 per day for parking and that’s the only parking available. I also didn’t like that there aren’t many food options within walking distance. I would also suggest that they add a pool as hotels that are close by have pools. Other than that we had a great stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone."

"We used the Hillside before and after taking the MARC train from Brunswick, MD, to Washington, DC, for a few days. It was also our base for exploring Harpers Ferry. It is a simple, clean, and convenient property. Check-in was quick. The A/C was quiet and efficient. We enjoyed mornings and evenings on the covered porch. "

"Excellent location, great service, friendly staff. The property itself is a historic building and it has been perfectly maintained. It feels like you are tracking back in time. Stay away from the Old Dominion room if you are taller than 5’8”. I also did not care much for the breakfast boxes. "

"It's a decent place to stay. The building is modern, clean, and suite is well equipped. A few minor grips. 6 soft low quality pillows does not substitute for 1 good firm pillow! The neighborhood is safe, but as is the case in many US suburbs/exurbs it's not really walkable. There are areas where the sidewalks just end, and they are not well lit at night, say if you are walking to supermarket. The building gym, looks great but the equipment eg. the elliptical trainers are poor quality glitchy."
