Guest House with pool, boat parking

This luxurious home is located in the subdivision called Sunnyside. Property is surrounded by lakes, rivers amazing parks like Venetian park and Marina. Also, minutes from Leesburg's quaint downtown, shopping mall, the cool Sea Plane City of Tavares, nearby golf courses, main highways, and only an hour away from Central Florida main attractions and International airport.
Cooking facilities are limited, so if you need a full kitchen, please consider booking our main house instead.
Pool and outdoor jacuzzi are not heated.
Plenty of room for parking, including boat trailer or RV.

Three rentals are on the property:

The main house is a large 3 BR 2 BA unit with a full kitchen and sunroom. Maximum occupancy eight.

THIIS UNIT: The guest house is a 2 BR 1 BA in a separate building with a kitchenette (no oven). Maximum occupancy six.

The “penthouse” is a private suite with a balcony, a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom, and a kitchenette (no oven). Maximum occupancy seven.

The host Richard was great in communicating with us. The place is spacious and worked for what we needed it for. Could use some updating, a hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Easy, convenient in and out access. We didn’t use the pool. It wasn’t very clean. All in all great for the price.

First night there wasnt heat or hot water. Came over at 10 pm and got us heat. Hot water was fixed next day. To me thats great service. Thank you Richard.

Not nearly as nice as I hoped. Barely enough basic stuff. No stove, just a hot plate. Bathroom was dirty, an old wet towel hanging. Floor was gritty, like sand. Sheets and towels were clean so that was good. Just a bit disappointing.

Excellent Stay

The property owner was very responsive when checking in. The property had everything we needed for our weekend of fishing on the Harris Chain. We will definitely recommend to others.

The property was just as described. I was visiting my daughter at Beacon College for Parent's Weekend, and I was very happy with the ease of communication with the property manager, the comfort of the bedrooms, and the location in relation to the campus. I do intend to try and book this one next year. Thank you for the hospitality!

Fishing retreat

Everything was pretty good. Was a little confused about the property. There is apparently 3 units and was not sure of which one I was staying in. Owner arrived and helped us out though. Great time. Thanks

Good lake house

Had a group of 4 here for a fishing tournament. The guest house was very spacious and had everything we needed. Several restaurants within 10 minutes. Host was quick to answer when i had questions. Would definitely stay here again.

Disappointing experience, look elsewhere

Booking & information prior to arrival was timely and accurate, access upon arrival was not a problem. Just hours after arrival and unpacking there were ants all over the counter and into the food. Additionally the single shower/tub in the residence was completely unusable as the water was shut off (toilet and sink were working). The guest house was simply not habitable. Informed contact , he offered a move up to the main house, but with the limitation of leaving that space 3 days short of my needed stay. Upon arrival into the main house it was uncleaned; having a coffee pot growing bacteria in it. As the evening went on I noticed there were cob webs in the skylights and a layer of dust on the ceiling fans that had to have taken weeks/months to get to that level (and was falling on my workstation) & hard water/rust stains in the ceiling of the shower in shared bathroom (which did come off with wiping, but I shouldn’t be doing it). The internet stopped working the first night in the main house (likely due to rain in area and related), which was needed to work remotely. Informed contact again and was responded to and rebooted that next morning. However thru-out the day it was so degraded that I couldn't download or stream (thus effectively useless). Completely unsatisfied I found a new home to move to and vacated early informing owner/contact of all this and requested a refund... 4 days early on an intended week stay. Look elsewhere

We had an issue w the shower that was never fixed. The seating around the pool (which was much smaller) were ripped. Otherwise we had a lovely stay.

Basic housing

The place was clean! The furniture was very old, beds were horrible, my back is still hurting. The pillows were extremely old, the bedding the same. The entire place was furnished from Habit for Humanity, no character or charm. The pool area had no table and umbrella for protection from the sun. VRBO a should check this place out and insist that upgrades be made.

Comfortably adaquate.

The place was centrally located to get to surrounding things to do. It is just short of being fantastic. It’s biggest drawback is lack of a full size sink and stove. It’s very comfortable and spacious.

Fish On

This was a great place to stay for our purposes and we enjoyed our time there. Close to Venetian Beach boat launch and plenty of parking for boat/trailer and one additional truck. It was clean, comfortable, felt secure, and the BBQ grill we used looked brand new. Owner was responsive. Directions and pre-arrival instructions were just fine. They had no specific requirements for departure except time and a suggestion (but not an expectation) to let the owner know when you leave, which I did. With a few minor adjustments I'd have given it 5 stars. Check-in is 4:00 which is fine. I arrived at 3:45 and had not yet been given the code so don't show up early. There was no dish soap, bar soap, grill tools, or can opener. We bought our own opener and lent it to the guys staying in their other unit because they didn't have one either. Shower pressure is weak and pulling up on the diverter felt like we would damage something. The products in the shower soap dispenser were not high quality. Sign in the bathroom said extra towels would be charge additional for the laundry so we used one towel each the entire time. We were there a week. Hot tub was not hot and the pool had leaves in it so we did not use either one.
