Need a getaway? Family - friends - hiking - hunting, or maybe just you and the dog! This cabin offers three furnished bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped with cook and serve ware, along with plenty of seasonings and condiments, too! The living room furniture all reclines, and the sofa has a pull down 'table' in the middle. We also provide accommodations for your dogs, including bowls & bags! We have satellite internet and a separate desk area so you can work if necessary. All 3 TV's include streaming ability. The cabin sits on a full acre, so you can take a stroll around the property without interfering with neighbors. To enjoy the firepit, there is plenty of seating - including a picnic table. If it's an indoor night, the gas log fireplace needs no work to create ambiance.

Great place to unwind

The cabin was well appointed with all the basics stocked up. It was very clean and the location was super close to cool forest. At night it was very quiet which was nice. We would definitely stay there again!

We loved this cabin. So beautifully decorated. The kitchen was well equipped, we cooked dinner 2 nights. Attended a festival and did few small hikes. Nice to come back to a clean house and awesome fire pit! Loved the area, some neighbors but wooded and quiet!

Secluded but close!

Loved the cabin and its seclusion, yet close enough to all places. Only one drawback was no ac. It was hot and humid. Loved the decorations and style of the cabin. Would definitely stay again. Hopefully with air or window that opens in downstairs bedroom. We had a great time!!!

Wedding weekend

My wife and i stayed at the cabin for a weekend to attend a wedding at a local venue. The cabin is AMAZING! Perfection across the board down ro coffee in the cupboard and condiments in the fridge. Very roomy with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. We will be back just for a get away. Thank you very much!

Perfect!

Great New Years Weekend with friends. We all fit comfortably in the cozy, clean cabin. We especially liked the fireplace and the special touches with the Christmas decorations. We were very thankful and appreciative for allowing our furbabies to join us! Highly recommend staying here when visitng the Cook Forest State Park area!

Warm & Cozy

The owners did a great job w renovating/remodeling the cabin to a new look and functional - utilizing the space for 3 bedrms, 2 full baths, kitchen, dining area and family room. In the wintry months you'll be warm and cozy. We also enjoyed the gas fireplace. Kris, the hostess, was very accommodating to make sure our stay was enjoyable.

Father and sons getaway

We only spent 1 night and already wish it was longer. The cabin was perfect! There is plenty of room and it had everything we needed. I actually think it is larger than some of the pictures make it look on VRBO. They even had coffee and filters for the coffee maker. Just what we needed first thing in the morning. Everything worked as expected. I was very pleased with the cabin and the communication. I am already looking to see when I can return. I would highly recommend this property for a stay in the forest!

A refreshing stay in the forest!!

We completely loved our stay at Fern Valley Cabin. The hosts were so kind and accommodating. The cabin is situated very close to Cook Forest, so we could do everything we wanted to do in the park, but the location of the cabin still felt very private and secluded. The beds were SO comfortable (everyone in our group agreed on this). The cabin was very clean and incredibly well provisioned with everything we needed while we were there. We’re sad that summer is over, but already talking about how we’d love to stay here in the fall and winter. Thank you to our awesome hosts for providing such an excellent stay for some much needed relaxation and family time:)
