Cafe with a viewing area of Solent Airport situated on the former Daedalus base. The Lee-on-the-Solent coastguard helicopter is based here and is seen taking off on another rescue and support mission. The cafe has reasonable prices, nice drinks and snacks and the bonus is it's the opposite side of the airfield from the school where I teach, so plenty of opportunities for our young learners.

"Why take your family away and stay in a faceless corporate hotel, cramped into one room, sitting on the beds, when you could be enjoying a lovely quiet rural cottage style family suite! Friendly, welcoming host, tasty continental breakfast - this is a very comfortable, spacious accommodation with all the amenities. The suite was perfect for us, centrally located, just a few minutes walk (no pavement) to the village, with some great eateries. "

"We were thrilled to have room 119 which had a balcony and we could view the cruise ships departing. It was warm and clean. The complimentary water and coffee pods were really appreciated. Service at breakfast and at reception was warm, friendly and efficient. It was a surprise that breakfast and parking were included. Had a lovely reunion evening with tasty food, especially the beef. "I enjoyed an early swim noting a reasonable sized pool and that the cleanliness was good. I was able to use the jacuzzi, steam and sauna room also available. All staff were friendly and helpful.
