"This was a lovely location for a family wedding weekend. The house is clean, well set up and welcoming. All our questions were answered quickly and the hosts were very pleasant to work with. "We highly recommend Hemingway Retreat and we will definitely be staying here again. The cottage is clean, cosy, comfortable and has a nice ambiance. Caitlin has provided some snacks, sodas and water as well as a Keuring coffee maker and a variety of coffee. The property is quiet and is only a short walk to town, (sidewalks all of the way) which during the busy season alleviates trying to find parking. Walking at night felt very safe. "This apartment was a perfect place for our family to stay while visiting our son at the Coast Guard Academy. It is in a great location and was filled with touches and amenities that showed a great deal of care and thoughtfulness by the owners. (There were even two desks for homework;) This is now my ‘go to’ rental for New London! "

"This was a great spot for us to stay during our vacation to Connecticut and Rhode Island. We've never stayed at a house with a pool table before, so that was a real treat. We enjoyed sitting on the the balcony for the beautiful views of the river and to watch the meteor shower. Be sure to visit the Harp and Dragon Pub nearby for dinner. Mike, the owner, recommended it and the food was excellent. Great memories of our trip!"

"My husband, parents, two dogs and I stayed for two nights in Melissa and Eric’s Nest, and enjoyed every second. The space was spotless and spacious and the kitchen well-stocked. While the main house is close to the guesthouse, we had absolute privacy and enjoyed the quiet neighborhood. "Absolutely fantastic stay! Everything about this apartment was perfect. Quiet Street and you never would have known there were other people staying on the same property. Can't beat being withing walking distance of pretty much everything Mystic. Mike was easy to communicate with, sent clear instructions for checking/in checking out. "Wow, we loved our stay at the Chandler Apartment! Easy to check in, LOTS of space for the 3 of us, and so thoroughly decorated with a seaport theme. The couch was large and inviting, the kitchen had absolutely everything you might need, and the beds were super comfortable. Debbie left us warm apple pie in the dining room, and there were so many charming details to discover in the apartment (which was immaculately clean). Lots of Keurig coffees for the morning too. "An amazing location that is private and serene, yet close enough to Mystic, Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun if you want to leave the cottage. We had our senior dog with us. He loved it there. We spent nights in the hot tub, by the firepit or watching movies on their big screen TV. We dined at some outstanding restaurants nearby. Went for a hike at Bluffpoint with our dog.
