Great getaway spot!
The property is exactly as described, and very well kept. Very clean and pleasant. Location is perfect, easy walking distance of restaurants and sites. Parking was easy to find and close. Only improvements I would recommend are including bedding, towels and few toiletries to the home.

Cute cottage, peaceful stay
We had a wonderful stay. The cottage was cute and we were so happy to be able to bring our dog! The parking situation was not bad at all! It’s a very short walk and the area has so much charm! It’s very peaceful. I gave 4 stars for cleanliness because the dish towel in the kitchen was dirty with sauce or something & lots of cobwebs on the porch. But overall we loved it.

Aesthetic
We loved the location and the cottage was lovely and comfortable. My 17 year old “loves the aesthetic.” Our 15 and 9 year old enjoyed time with me on the porch. My husband was happy there was a mini split in each bedroom and in the lower level. I am already looking to book again to see it in another season. We had our pup with us and she enjoyed walking the neighborhood with us. Others voice concerns about having to walk from the parking lot to the site and the walk is super short. There is a cart on the porch you can use to haul groceries from the lot to the cottage.

Great location in Mt Gretna
The Good: This 3 bed 1 bath cottage is in a great location within Mt Gretna Campmeeting. It is within walking distance to all the local attractions within Campmeeting, Chautauqua, Porch and Pantry, Mt Gretna Hideaway and the lake & beach area. There were several concerts at the Tabernacle that we were able to enjoy right from the front porch. The cottage is located on a non driving street, making it very enjoyable and quiet, however there is parking within a short walking distance to the cottage. The not so Good: the porches could have been a bit cleaner. Providing a broom for guests to sweep the porches of debris that naturally occurs would have been great. Having said all that, I would recommend this cottage to others and I would stay here again. Thanks for letting us have a quick Mt Gretna getaway. We stayed over July 4th 2024.

Great Communication
The house is in a great location. Super quiet and friendly area. The house itself was very clean however there was a mixup and the beds had dirty sheets and the trash cans were all full. I received an immediate answer from the host concerning the situation. I believe it may be newly listed so things happen. I was happy to figure what what was going on and I am sure it will not happen again. Parking was very close to the house, there was no problem getting our bags and supplies to the house.

Absolutely charming
My daughter had a lacrosse tournament in the area and this lovely cottage was a great surprise. Close to Hershey Park and in the most enchanting community! It was almost as if we went back in time when we stayed! Perfect option if you do not want to stay in hotels! Wish we could have stayed longer to see all that the area had to offer!

Cute, Cozy, but not so Convenient
This little cottage is located in a very cute little WALKING community. There is no parking at the property. The listing says "Free parking a short walk away." I guess this depends on what you define as a "short walk." There are several options for parking and the closest two lots were full when I got there, so it's very inconvenient to load/unload and very confusing to figure out in the dark when I arrived with the instructions given. I tried to temporarily park in the neighbor's driveway for 5 minutes to unload and a tow truck started circling. You can't stop in the street or you block everything. The house is cute, was clean, and comfortable enough. However... None of the upstairs doors fully closed to varied degrees, including the bathroom. We had to push furniture in front of the bedroom doors at night to keep the dogs from roaming the house. We did love that it was dog friendly! The ceilings in the bedrooms are very low. One person in our party is just over 6 feet tall and he felt like his head barely cleared the ceiling fan, and was it difficult to avoid hitting it when putting on shirts. Lastly, the remote to control the streaming services doesn't work. We changed the batteries and it didn't help. So, all the good things the listing says are pretty much true, but here's the other side of the coin. We wouldn't stay here again. It's too pricy for the issues we had to deal with. The nightly rates are reasonable but the added fees doubled the price.

Disappointment in Paradise
The porch was not clean as shown in the picture listing. We found it very dirty with debri and cobwebs. The back porch and steps were very dirty as well. There was not a cleared walkway to exit the back door to the street which made it difficult/unsafe to walk when unloading or taking the trash out. There wasn't a broom seen to sweep the porches. The mildew smell stated from a previous renter was very prevelant during our stay. When opening the windows for fresh air we found the sills of the window layered with dirt. I thought the strong smell was an animal possible cat odor. I am schocked to read it could possibly be mildew. I had an allergic reaction to the smell. We were not notified about the previous renters reporting of this smell by the host. They just proceeded to let more renters book a stay there under these conditions. I tried several times to contact the host about what we experienced during our stay via email and phone calls in which I left messages requesting a call back and I have never received a response. It has now been over two weeks. We have stayed in Mt. Gretna before and never had such a disappointing experience concerning cleanliness and safety and the host not responding to the unpleasant conditions of our stay.

Mildew smell
Unfortunately master bedroom had mildew and we were not able to use the room. My kids had to go stay with family. The kitchen and bath are new and in great shape. The neighborhood is quaint and nice for walking around the town. Management company reached out immediately and got us into another cottage early. Management company very helpful, yet a homeowner needs to make a few more improvements in the bedroom to solve mildew. Febreeze and mildew wasn’t good. Please fix this problem, health issues.

Quiet cottage in quaint neighborhood
This was a different experience for us. We'd never stayed in a neighborhood with these old style cottages before. The place was nice - plenty of room for 4 of us & 2 small dogs. Exactly like the listing indicated - recently updated, good amenities - including good HVAC. It was fun to wander the neighborhood, we even got to see a concert in the tabernacle. Wish we'd been able to explore more locally - we did a couple days at Hersheypark so didn't see much local. We were only 25 min from Hershey and it was an easy drive.
