Weather prevented skiing so we just stayed at the cabin and played games, watched movies, sat in the hot tub, visited, and enjoyed our food and beverages. The kids enjoyed the pin ball and shuffle board. The games are worn and broken but the kids enjoyed them anyway. The cabin was spacious and pleasantly rustic. The cabin looks was very nice and bbut the
The property is a bit difficult to find and off the beaten path, but the view makes it worth it! The space accommodates large groups and the kitchen is fully stocked. The host is extremely responsive with any issues onsite. The cabin is comfortable and inviting!
Was a great cabin that fit us all nicely! We really enjoyed the sunrises and sunsets! Each floor had their own bathroom which was nice for our large group. The back deck was huge and fit us all nicely! Road to cabin kind of sucks, but the view was worth the drive!
We had a group of 14 people enjoying a short vacation for Labor Day. We arrived and the road is very rough getting there but it does say 2.5 miles of dirt road to the property. The biggest complaint is that it does not warn you that there is no AC. It was mid 90s each day we were there and then it cooled off considerably at night but the house still stayed between 80-90 degrees. They do have box fans/standing fans in some rooms, but if we would have known we could have prepared and brought more fans, portable AC etc. Otherwise the property was pretty clean, a lot of deadbugs throughout but it didn't deter us from having a great time. The house is beautiful and the view is priceless. The game room was utilized frequently by our 4 kiddos and the adults. We used Grab-a-cab out of Deadwood for our 10 adults to go to a concert and they were wonderful, we highly recommend them! Very easy to check in and out with Anne and she replied promptly whenever I had a question. She provided us with all of the house instructions which was greatly appreciated. Overall we had a wonderful time and hope to return.
Road was very difficult for motorcycles, but beautiful home. Really enjoyed the decks, views were gorgeous. Extremely hot while we were there, fans were helpful , but air conditioning would have been wonderful! Bedrooms and bathrooms have very poor lighting, brighter bulbs would help. Would still rent again!! Thank you!
We had a great stay at the cabin! Stunning views, spacious accommodations and remote privacy was a great escape. The drive to and from the cabin definitely was a sight; drive right thru and active gold mine.
We had enough room for our 6 adults and 2 kids to spread out. The beds were okay, the laundry was nice to have, kitchen has plenty of utensils/cookware/bakeware, the airflow was great (no AC even needed!).
We reached out to Anne (property manager) for an issue and she immediately resolved the situation.
One note: the provided internet service at the cabin is very limited, don’t plan to work or stream music.
The cabin is very nice . Lots of room.. Enjoyed the large deck and the hot tub. Kids love the game room buy you will need lots of quarters for the pin ball machine, Beautiful area
Awesome secluded cabin with beautiful view! Cabin was clean and well kept. Hot tub came in handy after a long day of riding! Close to ATV trails and downtown Deadwood! Had a blast here, will definitely be back!!
We had a marvelous Thanksgiving weekend at this cabin! Great spacious house, beautiful scenery, quite remote but it didn't take long to get to Deadwood. Would definitely do it again!
This cabin is secluded, quiet, and peaceful! The deck off the back is huge and beautiful! We ate out there every night! The cabin was clean, nice, big and had every amenity we could want! Fully stocked kitchen, washer and dryer, hot tub, all made our stay wonderful!!! Just make sure your aware there is no ac but lots of fans are provided.
All really nice. Be sure to bring extra paper products. Have to drive thru mine so takes a bit to get to town but really nice place and beautiful view. The hot tub was a big hit.
Was a little tricky getting to the cabin. Inside of cabin looked great. Outside looked like they were either remodelling or Finishing up building the cabin. All in all we had a great time.
Very nice cabin. Enjoyed the hot tub and games.
However with the mining going on directions need to be updated. There is no stop sign 1/4 of mile.
Truly loved the cabin and loved the fireplace. Thanks
We had a group of 8 staying here for our 2nd UTV trup to the Black Hills. We were looking for a place to stay with plenty of room and access to riding. This house was perfect and the location was great with fantastic views of the sunrise and sunset. There was even a 5 mile riding loop right behind the cabin. It is very private and quiet here. Everything was as advertised and I would definitely recommend staying here if you have a large group.
Comfortable, clean, and accommodated our family very well.
The Cabin on the Ridge is as it is pictured, very nice. It is out of the way but that was nice as there wasn't any road noise around us. The scenery is beautiful. Many games for everyone to choose from downstairs, we had a great time. It is close to many different things to do, we went fishing at Iron Creek Lake and enjoyed Deadwood.

Enjoyed the home greatly nice and comfortable.
Did not enjoy the rail crossings. Was never told about red button to push to cross construction road, Until worker got out of truck yelling at us not to go under the crossing or the police would be called while in our Harley Davidson's.

Location both good and bad
To start, this cabin is a little further away from the main road than we thought or would have liked. We drove straight to it based on the directions we were given but we did questions ourselves many times. Others that met us later had trouble finding the place. Once you get to it though, its pretty simple. Like I said, its a little remote but it was really close to some great 4 wheeler trails. It slept our large group comfortably but living space was a little tight. Overall it was a clean, inviting cabin.
