"The hotel was absolutely charming, with a warm ambiance set in a quaint rustic town—an ideal escape from the bustle of Paris. The rooms had a great vibe and view, offered quality amenities, and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. It was a bit warm during our visit, so we really appreciated the in-room AC. The only drawback was our timing—visiting on a Sunday and Monday meant much of Obernai was closed, which made exploring a bit tricky. Still, it was a lovely overall experience!"
"Very nice hotel and spa, pleasant location for walking and exploring the villages in the area. Very good breakfast and restaurant for dinner, only thing missing is the option to have some lunch. I don’t speak French so at times it was a struggle but the staff are very helpful "

Charming cottage (CHARLOTTE) - in the heart of the Alsatian vineyard with the winegrower
4/10 Poor
"This is the second time I’ve booked with Vrbo, and while my first experience was amazing in a villa in Corsica, this one was a huge disappointment. I genuinely don’t understand how this place can have such great reviews. It’s hard to believe that two offerings at opposite ends of the quality scale can have the same number of stars. The bathrooms had a damp smell, and the furniture was basic. Overall, it didn’t feel very clean. There was a bucket with a mop right in the middle of the kitchen, and one of the bedrooms was used for storage. There were even notes about what chores you were expected to do, and they made it clear that this wasn’t a hotel! They were happy to charge hotel prices, though, which might explain why it didn’t look very clean overall. In the end, we only stayed there to sleep and shower but it just shows that paying 900 euros for a week does not guarantee a quality stay."
"Didn't expect the room to be so clean, spacious, and newly renovated given the historical building, but you have the best of both worlds. Great value for money. Stayed here as hotels so expensive in Strasbourg so rented a car and fit in a day of seeing some of the smaller towns on a day trip to Colmar. Beautiful! Staff were great, too. "
Cosy winegrower's gîte in the heart of Gertwiller - gingerbread village
10/10 Excellent
"We booked 6 autumn nights here, and the rental included a winery tour and tasting of their produce (very good). Watched grapes being pressed from our gite window. The village was very quiet, but had an excellent supermarket, and a gingerbread museum. Visited nearby Barr (also quiet) and Obernai (lively, with lots of shops and a tourist train). Locals friendly."
