Beautiful hotel in Le Morne. Building is new and in very good condition. The staff was amazing every time, from checkin to breakfast, lunch, dinner and bar service. Pools are nice and there are plenty of sunbeds around, in case the ocean is not welcoming. Food was very good, with plenty of choices. The RIU app is not the best, but that’s not something this hotel can fix.

We had a wonderful 10 night stay at the hotel with the Junor Suites Elite Club service. The promises made in the preliminary description of the hotel and services were fully fulfilled. Very kind and professional staff, excellent restaurant service, great, comfortable and clean rooms. The pools, garden and beach are well maintained. As a regular and frequent traveler (more than 50 hotels), I don't know what to make of the blind, negative reviews I've read before. Maybe they weren't even in this hotel?! I had an amazing stay. The service level was very high throughout. Excellent rooms with everything you need, clean and well designed. I went on two trips, but otherwise stayed at the hotel. Was worried before my trip if I’d get bored, but there was plenty to do, the food selection was plenty (6 restaurants) and the view, beach and garden were absolutely stunning. Only minor hiccup was the WiFi connection outside the lobby area wasn’t the best. I bought an eSIM and that solved it. Amazing hike in mount Le Morne 20 min walk away.

My experience at the Riu Palace was exceptional. The staff were consistently warm and welcoming, and the bartenders in particular went out of their way to remember guests’ preferred drinks, which added a personal touch to the service. The food was enjoyable, and I appreciated the flexibility of being able to explore both sides of the resort. I occasionally visited the buffet on the all-ages side before returning to the adults-only area for another meal. It’s worth noting that the main restaurants operate on a first-come, first-served basis, so guests should plan accordingly. Overall, I had a phenomenal stay. However, I did encounter one unfortunate incident. On the day of a late excursion, housekeeping attempted to clean my room in the morning, but I had chosen to sleep in and asked them to return later. I left the room around 5:30 p.m., and upon returning at 7:30 p.m., I found the room had not been serviced. I contacted the front desk, and although I felt uncomfortable requesting cleaning around 8 p.m., I had already placed the used linens on the floor and hoped to have fresh ones upon my return. Regrettably, I made the mistake of leaving a bag with cash on the dresser rather than securing it in the safe. The next morning, I noticed approximately 6,000 rupees (about $132 USD) were missing. I did not report the incident to the front desk, as I acknowledged it was my responsibility to use the safe. For future travellers , I strongly recommend securing all valuables.

Nice hotel, lovely heated pool, good bartenders and some staff is great. However this does not include the front desk. We contunously got wrong answers to our questions and left the service desk more confused or with down right wrong info. This led to a lot of frustration. When asking for help with simple service actions such as booking airport transfer or send some bananas to our room as we would miss breakfast due to an excursion, they were not at all interested in helping and we were asked to sort it out ourselves. Additionally no one were at the front desk when we tried to check out despite agreeing on a time the previous evening. After waiting we had to leave for the airport.

We went to the Riu Palace for our anniversary after being on Safari for a week in South Africa Feb 2025 We have stayed at Riu's in the past primarily in Mexico this is nothing like the Riu's in Mexico 1. Staff- they are not engaging at all it almost seems as you are an inconvenience to them with the exception of the bar Manager in the Lobby bar and the gentlemen working at the coffee bar in the lobby who were pleasant 2. The food was not good primarily heavy curry dishes which are ok but not twice a day for lunch and dinner , the a la cartes were impossible to get into the app didn't work went to the front desk to ask them with zero help we were able to sneak into the asian a la carte one evening the meal there was good but as for the buffet it is no where near the selection you would get if you were at an all inclusive in other destinations. 3 Entertainment- Pretty dull not what you would expect from a Riu which always puts on amazing theme parties etc the vibe at this resort was not very up beat much like the staff 4. THE POOL SUCKS the pool is heated but the weather was 35 degrees Celsius so the pool was not refreshing it was like getting in the hot tub. There is no pool side drink service so you have to walk over to the bar to get drinks when you want one not a huge deal but again for an all inclusive this should be standard Would save your money and book somewhere else we did the Maldives in 2023 and wish we would have went back there.

We went on our honeymoon trip here, and we had the most amazing time! Everyone was super nice and friendly. The hotels taxis service was fantastic! We were able to see places on the island we wanted to at our own pace, with a private driver. Absolutely worth it.

Pro: Gepflegte Anlage Gutes Essen All Inklusive Wassersport Möglichkeiten Contra: Laute Anlage Keine gedämpfte Musik beim Essen (weden Frühstück, zwischendruch und auch nicht beim Abendessen) Keine Möglichkeit ein Abendessen in den Themen Restaurants zu reservieren. Reservierung soll lt. Hotelrezeption nur via App funktionieren. Es gab keine Informationen, wann eine Reservierung möglich ist. Die Meldung in der App "Reservations are not allowed due to restrictions applied" war keine wirkliche Hilfe. Die Rezeption konnte auch keine Auskunft geben. Es war innerhalb einer Woche Aufenthalt nicht möglich ein Themen Restaurant zu buchen. Weder um 0:00 Uhr Mitternachts, noch um 7:00 Uhr vor dem Frühstück, noch um 18:00 vor dem Abendessen. Weitere Restaurants können nur besucht werden, wenn man sich ab 17:00 Uhr in die Schlage einreiht, um eine Reservierung für den gleiche Abend zu erhalten (nicht garantiert). Reservierungen für andere Tage (in der Zukunft) wurden nicht akzeptiert. Elite Club Aufpreis rentiert sich aus unserer Sucht nicht, weil die "Privat-Pools" ein Pool sind, die nur durch eine Trennwand voneinader getrennt sind. Privatsphäre ist nicht gegeben, da jeder Hotelgast daran vorbeigehen kann.

Ein tolles Hotel, relativ neu, sehr freundliches und bemühtes Personal, gutes Essen beim All inclusives. Das Hotel ist aber für Nichtraucher nur eingeschränkt zu empfehlen. Es stehen zwar überall Rauchverbotsschilder, das wird aber ignoriert und überall geraucht. Ist man aus Deutschland so nicht mehr gewohnt und hat den sehr positiven Gesamteindruck leider gestört.
