"Very cosy appartement centrally in Saumur, close to shops, attractions and restaurants. Sited close to the Loire, there are plenty of things to do without a car, but the owners provided a safe parking space in a locked courtyard. Aliona and Benoît were wonderful hosts."

"The property has a quirky layout as the main living accommodation is on the 1st floor, and use of garden/hot-tub/pool and outside lounge/dining below. So there's lots of going up and down the stairs. The owners live directly underneath which was a surprise, as the main house photo gives the impression that you have the whole building. Also the bathrooms are not en-suite, and there is only 1 toilet. That said we enjoyed our stay, owners were friendly and discreet, and we were very grateful for...

"the bed was a sofa bed although the mattress was ok every time we moved it made load squeaking noise the large entrance gates were attached to our outside wall so every time they were used it felt like the wall was moving and a very loud banging noise some gest returned after midnight some left early about 6 Am the location we good, only a short walk to the restaurants, and near the steps to the chateaux there was free parking in the street"

"The owner met us at the gate and walked us through the entire property as well as letting us know the courtyard was ours any time we wanted it. Her place was so comfortable. We felt safe, enjoyed meeting other renters in the courtyard (she has 5 rentals). We were directly across the street from the Loire River which has fantastic views. We were within walking distance to everything from restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacy to night life. We would come back to her place anytime. We loved it. ❤️"

"There were 5 of us visiting for a visit to the Loire Valley before Paris. The place was fantastic; it was like living in a castle. It was beautiful and comfortable. It was a great base for visiting wineries and chateaus. I didn’t get to meet our host as he was away on business, but he stayed in contact and his wife was lovely to work with. There are stairs involved but this is Europe and there are stairs everywhere. I would go back there if I ever return."

"le gîte est situé à 7 minutes à pied d'un centre ville historique très vivant et composé de belles demeures. Nous avons visité 2 très beaux châteaux celui de Saumur et celui de Montreuil Bellay, fait une ballade à vélo depuis Saumur jusqu'au beau village médiéval de montsoreau, le long de la Loire à l'aller et à travers les vignobles au retour. 2 très bons restaurants Le Castilille ( top niveau gustatif) et la crêperie Le Bigouden à Saumur et la grange à dîmes à Montreuil Bellay. Très belles...

"Once you have mastered the 68 steps to the 3rd floor you enter a lovely apartment. The lounge/diner is spacious with beautiful views over the River. The bedroom has a very comfortable bed and again beautiful views over the River. The kitchen is comparatively very small but has everything you need. This leads to the shower room/ toilet with a large shower cubicle and wash basin. All in all a lovely apartment that is only 3 minutes walk from a bustling square with many restaurants/bars to enjoy."

"Nothing like the pictures when we booked. Very shabby accommodation. One indoor very crowded pool and No facilities on site, you have to go int Saumur which is a lovely city. You have to pay extra for bedding . Beds uncomfortable and furniture all very old. Definitely not worth the money. "

"More than most properties - Gille’s sprawling 16th, 17th and other centuries place will mould to your wishes. No heated pool for us and the games room remained quiet. But a wonderful maze with parking for only the Le Mans champs ( like myself). Everything is close and walkable."
