"I stayed here with my mum during our roadtrip through France. I found this by chance when we needed to stop for a couple of nights. This was by far my favourite stop along the way. The room was beautiful, comfortable, and perfect for recharging. The cupboards were full of useful items (such as plates, cutlery, kettle, toaster, cups, pots and pans etc.). Shower was lovely. "As said in the title, first time in the Vendéé.Saint-Gilles is a typical french seaside village, which harbours all the joys one could expect from that.Perfect weather, strong tides at sea, lots of fine tiny restaurants in the village.Then, the house, petit as they say but o so complete for a holiday stay. All the necessities are there, the house is beautifully decorated, with additional furniture for the terrace. Located just 50 metres from the boulevard, and in with the village within walking range, it is the perfect spot for a holiday on the French coast.That said, we should mention Marylene, the owner and a perfect host.We will be back!!Regards, René & Dinie"

"Good. Major drawback was unexpected cost of parking ( 10 euros per day ). Hotels.com should have forewarned us ( ie next to the « self parking « tick on advert. Also no fridge. But room just about big enough’. Bed comfortable."
"The hotel was unusual in its decor however it was clean and well kept. The room was adequate with great a cleaning service. The breakfasts were well organised and everything you needed. The proprietor was an amazing man. He was pleasant helpful and helped with my French pronunciations. He had amazing sense of humour I would definitely visit again
