"The view from this place is so beautiful and the people working at the hotel were so kind and helpful. The concierge was so amazing - booking restaurants and giving us fusnace on where to and what to do. The only note is that you must have a car. The town is cute but very sleepy. The restaurants and bars that have more energy require driving. The restaurants in town are very causal."

"We had an amazing stay at Mangia’s. The staff was very helpful, rooms are clean and AC was cool. The free breakfast was plentiful with so many options and we dined at the pizza restaurant for dinner twice during our stay, so good!"

"Lovely staff! Good kitchen, and great breakfast included in the room. The swimming pool and lounge area on top of the hill are lovely and have great views all around. I wished the room was a bit larger! With two suitcases i had to rearrange some furniture, I like to not stumble over them in the middle of the night. The beach club, free for hotel guests is very nice, too! It has a couple of really nice beach restaurants nearby."

"Hotel Excelsior is all about the location. It’s right in the centre of La Maddalena, with an amazing waterfront position where you can sit and watch the ferries come and go. I booked a sea view room, which was definitely worth it and easily the highlight of the stay. The rooms are on the small side but were clean and comfortable, and the air conditioning was excellent, which made a big difference during the warmer weather. Breakfast was decent without being anything special, but again, the incredible view makes it a much more enjoyable experience. One thing to be aware of is that the hotel does not have its own parking, despite what you might expect. All parking is on the street, so don’t arrive assuming there’s private parking available. Overall, it’s a solid choice if you want to be in the heart of town with fantastic views, great air conditioning, and easy access to everything La Maddalena has to offer."

"The hotel is very well situated in a quiet area of Palau and the sea view balcony rooms have an incredible view out over the marina and beyond. The room was nice, a shame that the door did not line up to see the view out. The air conditioning and bathroom were great, but there are no tea/coffee making facilities and the bed was not overly comfortable. Over a 4 night stay, there were 2 significant power cuts in the area, one of which went on for a few hours and made the room uncomfortable. The WiFi was absolutely awful throughout the entire stay."
