Top Lauris Hotel Reviews
Château de la Gaude - Relais & Châteaux
8/10 Good
"My wife and I stayed here for three nights. The chateau is located in a beautiful and isolated area. You can spend your time just walking and enjoying the garden and winery. The room itself was lovely and large with a great view of the gardens, Note that it is a historic building with no elevators. We got our stair steps in as we were on the third (American count) floor. We had just stayed in Hotel St. Remy which was a small boutique hotel. The service here felt a bit impersonal. The other inconvenience was that it is a drive from Aix-en-Provence where we wanted to spend more of our time. Driving to and finding parking in Aix was a chore. If your goal is to just enjoy the chateau and relax then this is a great choice. If you plan to spend more time in Aix then you are probably better off staying there."

Grand Hôtel Roi René Aix - MGallery Collection

"Excellent location and amazing team. We were unable to Use the pool As it was full screaming kids and families. Not what we were looking for. But amazing for families"

"WE had room 46, which was to the back of the hotel. When we checked in, we were told that we would be able to park right outside the room, but when we walked round to the room, there were concrete blocks preventing us from leaving the road to park outside the room. So, we parked in the road whilst we emptied the car. Downstairs was a seating area, and the toilet right off this area, which we thought a bit strange. If the toilet was used, then the consequences of the use would fill the seating area. The tea and coffee making area was also in the lounge area, but the strange thing is that there is no sink or water supply downstairs. So, to get water for the kettle, or to wash your hands after using the toilet,, you have to navigate the stairs, which are a little tight."
Renaissance Aix-en-Provence Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Excellent in every way. Beautiful hotel at the most convenient location. Top notch rooms with plenty of space and best cleanliness. Food was really good with so many options. Huge shout out to the hotel staff. They were the most friendly and helpful people."
thecamp Hotel & Lodges - Aix en Provence
8/10 Good
"Stayed for a week with family. Amazing location and ideally placed for trips into Aix and surrounding areas and about 30 minutes to nice beaches. Stayed in a basic but comfortable twin room. Window in the room is strange as if the blind is open people walking past can look straight in. Shower doesn’t have a door so water goes all over the floor. Beds are comfortable, plenty of wardrobe space, a desk and a bedside table. Air conditioning was great even in 38 degree heat. There are no balconies in these rooms. Pool is lovely but there are only 16 sun loungers and guests are claiming these at 8am before going off to do other things. Some of these loungers are empty for hours and I witnessed arguments and towel throwing when other guests decided to occupy these empty loungers and the original guests returned. It is never clear which of the venues are open for food and drink and at what time. On a Friday and Saturday night some sort of private night club takes over one of the venues and everything else closes so you are unable to get anything to eat or drink. There is no vending machine so if you don’t want to go out there is absolutely nothing. You can get a takeaway delivered Food and drink, when you can get it, is good and reasonably priced. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely return but if the communication around bar/restaurant opening could improve and if the sun lounger situation could be sorted out, it would be even better."
Hotel Le Pigonnet
10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful property! The grounds were breathtaking and the newly remodeled rooms were stunning. The staff were all very kind and helpful. It’s about a 15 minute walk into town which is quite doable."
Aquabella Hôtel & Spa

Boutique Hotel Cezanne
8/10 Good
"We had a lovely overnight stay at the hotel. All the staff we met were exceptional - friendly, courteous and helpful. The hotel has a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. The loss of one star is due to the weird room configuration. The ensuite in room 107 was at the far end of the room and had a shower and washbasin, the lavatory was by the entrance to the room but did not have a washbasin in it, which meant that after using the loo you had to walk across the room to wash your hands - fine during the day, but a nuisance if you need to go at night."
