The owners live next door and are absolutely lovely people with vast knowledge of the area and all the rare and unusual plants on the grounds. "Good location to take advantage of the Hilo area and the east side of the Big Island. Very clean and safe. Beautiful home. Had just about everything we needed during our stay. We would stay here again, book with confidence. Left us a nice welcome package and included a dozen fresh eggs. Very much appreciated. One little thing, there is a gas grill, but if you use it there is an additional cleaning fee. That should have been disclosed in the property description."

"What a delightful stay we had in our beautifully appointed clean as a whistle VRBO on the Hamakua coast of the big island. It had absolutely everything one would need and then some (thoughtful sleep masks). Large refrigerator, washer and dryer, extremely well equipped. The fresh fruit and fresh eggs in the fridge was just a great touch. All this and the adorable unobtrusive little pets and chickens made this a perfect stay Big Mahalo to Dan and Mollie, great hosts"

"We stayed in unit 2 but I would still love to give my review/opinion about it. This was a truly amazing place to stay in. It was my first time in unit rental and it truly felt like a home away from home!! Everything was just as they say it was in the listing and the property owner/manager was super kind and patient. "This property was beautiful! The home was perfect for our family with plenty of room for everyone to relax. The yard around the house was amazing, with lovely flowering plants and soft grass. We enjoyed hanging out both indoors and outside. The location was great. It was fairly close to Volcano National Park and there were several other attractions in the area. The house had everything we needed, and gave us a good sleep and start/end to our days. We didn't spend much time there during the day, as we were out seeing the volcano, driving to the south end of the island, and looking around Hilo. We had a wonderful visit."

"My husband and I really enjoyed our stay! The lanai looking out over the ocean was exactly what I wanted. We enjoyed getting to watch the surfers down below. The daily breakfast was perfect and the coffee was delicious. We had the property to ourselves so it was very quiet and peaceful. My husband and I both agreed we will come back if we get the chance!"

A sheet in one of the bedrooms also had a brown stain. There was a dead spider and a dead ant on the pillow area of two bedrooms. We weren’t sure if the beddings were fully washed before we checked in. You have most cookingware in the kitchen with beach towels available (thank you!) for use. However, not that many towels...

"I loved the location of this vacation home. Updates from the photos as far as the kitchen is that the fridge is bigger and outside on the porch along with the induction cooktop. The grill was in great working condition. I really enjoyed cooking and eating outside on the porch. The view is spectacular. Jim was an amazing host and took the time to walk me around. I will be booking with Jim and Kim again."

"This property is amazing, the most beautiful home we have ever stayed in. We loved the antique and historical decor of the home. Everyone in my group of 9 couldn't stop commenting on how beautiful and serene this home is. It is convenient to many attractions and the sheer beauty is so peaceful and relaxing. We spent every morning just sitting outside and enjoying the scenery. The host is also very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely come back again! We all had our own room and bath, wonderful stay on the island."
