"We spent 4 days on Kanu as part of the surf and turf promotion. There were 6 of us celebrating a 20th anniversary. The only way to describe this island is magical. Everything was clean and well taken care of, the island is stunning, the creatures were fun to see, plenty of activities for all. And THE STAFF! They should write a book on how it’s done. "Attended a friends wedding in the area. This is our second trip to the area and we couldn't have been happier with the accommodations. Close to shopping, beach bars and other fun places to visit. A/C units and ceiling fans in each room to keep you cool. Great view. Great pool. Great staff. All around 5 star stay!"

Chabil Mar Luxury Villas - Guest Exclusive Beach Resort

"Beautiful place to stay with 1st class service. Far enough out of town for peace but only 5 minutes outside of town. Their food was excellent and reasonably priced compared to town. Definitely get a golf cart. "

"The best of both worlds! This property is stunning, and it really offered the best of both worlds. We were able to experience resort-style amenities and service, while enjoying the space of an AirBnB. Our suite was huge and gave us ample room to enjoy ourselves. It was nice to be able to cook some meals in the suite, although they could definitely stand to upgrade their kitchenware. The pool is huge, and we really enjoyed the swim-up bar. The restaurant sits right on the water, and we were really impressed with the food there. The service is top-notch from the bar to the housekeeping staff. *A note about the location: Placencia is a lot bigger than I realized. This property is in an area that is mostly just resorts and a handful of restaurants. A little further South is Maya Beach, which is quite nice. If you want to actually visit Placencia Village, it's a good 20-30 minute drive. So this is the perfect location for a relaxing, peaceful getaway. But if you want to be in the heart of Placencia, go further South. "
