"The flat is cute and close to the mile It is up a steep alley way, so not good for people with mobility issues. We immediately realized the instructions to turn on the boiler and heater were incorrect; (after calling we found out the switch is on the kitchen counter and not the bedroom closet). "This apartment was just what we wanted when looking to stay in Edinburgh. There were a few local restaurants and bars hidden amongst the apartments, within walking distance of many main attractions, and easy to find. The only thing I’d tell Americans, it’s the 2nd floor apartment (which is 1st level in Europe)."

"We’d never visited North Berwick before, but were blown away by the beautiful landscape. The beaches are great, sea is clean and the town is bright and has all you could want. The apartment has everything you could need. It’s spacious, has beautiful decor and has everything you need to feel like you’re at home. "It was comfortable and well equipped. It was generally clean but not deep cleaned. Example: the shower drained slowly and the drain not cleaned properly; kitchen washing up brushes needed replacing; the outside of the windows were not clean. Location ideal for Holyrood park and the Royal mile. Kitchen was well equipped for self catering. Area was quiet and no noise from the apartment block which was a small block. "The photos on the ad looked nice and the amenities sounded good but we were disappointed to find green mold in the coffee maker and black slime in the washing machine; an intermittently functional microwave and an ineffective clothes dryer with a door that popped open when we tried to use it and a panel in the bottom that wouldn't stay on. "Really good location, lots of shops and restaurants nearby, 10 minute walk into the centre. 3 bedrooms, with 4 double beds. Comfortable and plenty of towels etc. Spent 3 days here and all in all was great for the price."

"Virgin Hotel Edinburgh was excellent. Located close to most attractions and restaurants. The chamber room with terrace was spacious and unique.Only con was the long trek with bags up stairs and long corridors to get to the room as there was no direct access. Overall this is an exceptional hotel with great service. We will definitely visit again. "
