"The owner met us to check us in, but returned that evening while we were eating. Having interrupted the meal he wanted 300euros in cash as a deposit. He said he'd return next day. However, by then we realised that the downstairs toilet and drains were blocked as were 2 of the upstairs showers. There was no hot water in some. "A wonderfully peaceful location. The estate is surrounded by stunning grounds and gracefully kept gardens. Peacocks, cats and 2 dogs live here in harmony and were gentle companions. The pool is wonderful and we managed to blend reading, swimming and relaxation with visits to local villages and Orvieto. Our host was helpful and friendly."
