"We were only told that neither the bar nor the restaurant would be open when we asked what times they would be available at check-in. This is especially annoying when we specifically filter your listings for these as having to travel again to eat is not welcome after already having spent a day travelling and walking into the village along a main N-road at night is dangerous. The "superior" room isn't very big and the wi-fi is terrible in it. "It's a lovely traditional hotel in a very convenient location. The receptionist is uber-helpful and friendly. Our room was a bit on the small side, but had everything we needed for a one night stopover, but there were no dining facilities. However, the free breakfast sponges made up for that and we used Uber Eats."

"Lovely roadside hotel which doesn't look much from outside but is lovely once inside with a pretty courtyard, historic look, great restaurant and friendly bar. We were again allowed to park our motorcycle securely in the courtyard which is most welcome for travellers. We had a bit of a worry on arrival as there seemed to be no record of our booking which we'd made the night before through the Hotels app but a room was quickly cleaned and prepared for us."
