"This house was magnificent! Plenty of space for our fanily in an unbelievably gorgeous setting. The sunsets are incredible. The hosts were absolutely lovely. They gave us plaintains and coffee both from their property when we arrived. "

"Great spot to land and really get away from the majority of tourists. Local restaurants are cheaper, people are happier and it is not that far to all things Arenal. The house was great and property manager responded quickly when we had questions. Only thing is there is just one gate code, doors take a bit to get used to lock and unlock and house is 4th one on the left. But those are just minor things. "

"Casa 5 is possibly the best situated house in Buena Vista. It was relatively private and had a nice lake view. The kitchen was well stocked and the bedrooms had ample drawer space as well as plenty of hangers. The space was open and comfortable."

"Wonderful cosy cottage deep in Monteverde. The drive from St Elena is worth it! There are lots of bugs at night but it is manageable. So many birds! So serene! Comfy beds. Yummy welcome food. Carlos was super kind and attentive, and took care of our needs (extra chair, longer clothing line for hanging our clothes). "

"There is no better view of the volcano than at this property. It is right next to a soda, so easy to get food. The cabin was upgraded, and had everything you needed for a night in or just a pass thru. Close to all area attractions. Hosts were super helpful in giving you local gems. Would highly recommend!"

"I recently stayed 3 nights at Villa Floresta Monteverde, and it was a fantastic experience. The villa is located in a very quiet area, offering complete privacy—you don’t notice the neighbors at all. The accommodation is modern, beautifully furnished, and features a lovely terrace and an amazing hot tub. The host was very friendly and communicative. However, one minor issue was that I only received the location details about 2 hours before the check-in time, which caused a bit of last-minute...

"First make sure to have a SUV for Costa Rica and this location will be a charm since it is located with a large diversity of are to visit . It was raining and foggy all the time during our 4 day stay and this place was still nice to stay in :)"

The location is close to town and various sites and activities, but also up the hillside enough to be peaceful and restful. Our host, Evelyn, was so great to deal with. "We had a great time at the property. It was immaculately clean. The view was incredible. We wish that we could have stayed a few days longer. The hot tub and the stove was not working - which would have been nice to be able to use - but not a deal breaker for us at all."

"Magical! The hiking trails, wildlife, breakfasts, and staff made this lodge extraordinary. Waking up to volcano views and amazing birds was so special. While it is a little off the beaten path, it is well worth the extra few minutes. "
