"This is a modern hotel in an historic house with a fantastic restaurant attached. Not sure if the two are owned by the same group but probably. The check in is all virtual, no hotel staff are on site, and it went smoothly however I did have to step outside to get a decent cellular signal in order to check in. Close to the railway station. Excellent breakfast in the restaurant. Highly recommended!"

"This property was essentially a nice house, with a beautiful garden, however, the cleanliness on arrival was questionable. All the cups and cutlery had to be washed thoroughly before use, the cooker hob was still greasy and the fridge needed cleaning out before use. It was also dusty under the bed. The fridge was also not switched and the house was cold. The property in general needs quite a bit of updating especially the double bedroom.and bathrooms. The location was quiet and great for access to central Ayr. There was a visitors book but no-one appears to have written in it for quite a while. There is a short walk to the beach for lovely views of Arran and to watch the sunset."
