"We will start with the positives: excellent location for access to public transportation--with the U2 and multiple trams nearly at the door; the apartment is quiet, a lot of space, huge bath tub, great water pressure, and large windows with adequate light (for a ground level apartment). The building and neighborhood felt very safe. A very vibrant, interesting area of Berlin with a wealth of good restaurants and interesting East Berlin history. On the down side: the kitchen is a bare bones...

"I went with 3 friends and we stayed a whole week. The place had everything we needed and matches with the description. Ruth was always responsive. The location is really great, very near to the tram and you can go everywhere. I recommend this place."

"This is a lovely find adjacent to lots of trendy areas. (There is a “Zeit für Brot” around the corner which always means it’s a place where people want to be!) The place is a good size for one or two people for a few days. Well- equipped and maintained. The hosts were very friendly and attentive - ready to help when needed, without being overbearing. "We could not stay at this accommodation at as it was in an unacceptable condition. Issues with the accommodation were as follows: • There was no linen (bed sheets, or doona covers) for any of the beds. • One bed had broken slats and the mattress was smaller than the bed frame. • Stained mattresses • There was a musty uncleaned odour to the whole apartment. • Glass cooktop had a broken corner and oven was dirty. There were other dirty/rusty appliances on the kitchen bench. • Fridge – no freezer...

"This is a nice and comfortable place that fit our needs. Our Son and family live just around the corner and we like the Friedrickshaine area of Berlin. It met all of our needs for our own little apartment near our family."
