"Too expensive for its condition inside and out"

"The Sheraton Maui Resort and Spa was an absolutely beautiful and amazing stay. The staff was next level, the cleanliness was top tier, the amenities are exactly what we were looking for for our honeymoon. We are avid snorkelers, to our surprise black rock had variety of fish and even turtles! I will say, I wish they had let us know about the Luau that they host and on what schedule, but I should have easily planned ahead and found that out myself. I ignorantly assumed it'd be all weekend....

"Great unit and location. As others stated the unit is dated but it was very clean and has everything you need as well as extras like beach equipment, chairs, a cooler and lots of kitchen essentials. Walking distance to ABC, a grocery store and food trucks. The view was outstanding and the pools and grounds were beautiful. Would definitely book this unit again. "

"the photos show you what your getting. the Marriott's Maui Ocean Club has been around. Beach is smaller than it use to be. lot of erosion. property well kept up. just gets the quick clean and is fine but not spotless. basics are well done. room is well supplied with basics to keep it nice, do laundry and run the dish washer. kitchen well stocked. had. great week. convent to the parking garage. the negs: porch is small. and the handrail is eye height when sitting out there. room is way different...

"This location was ideal for our family of 6. Lots of space for us to cook, eat, play cards, watch hockey playoffs and relax on the patio. It was the perfect family getaway!!"

"We had a fabulous time in Maui- because how can you not?! That being said, we have stayed at several other resorts across the island, and enjoyed them much more than Honua Kai. The room/unit itself was ok - size was good, and it had a well-stocked kitchen. The unit overall could use a refresh, furniture was worn down, large hole in the couch (as mentioned in other reviews), and overall just seems a little old/rundown. The property manager was very accommodating and her communication was good....

However, a few things that didn’t meet our expectations were the following: -overall checkin was frustrating and communication was lacking from the property management company. -lack of items in unit such as towels. "This is a perfect unit in a very nice building right on the waterfront. The unit was clean, very comfortable and well appointed. There was even a blender to make smoothies. Great view of the beach and the ocean. The lobby, barbecue and parking were spacious, clean and easy to use. Great location and good access to shops and restaurants. We’ll be coming back for sure!"

"We throughly enjoyed our stay in this 2 bedroom condo in the Honua Kai resort. We have previously rented many condos but none were as clean at this one was upon our arrival. Communication with the host, Fereshteh was excellent. We had one small issue that was resolved quickly. Some of the small details included: shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispensers in each shower; dishwasher pods, laundry detergent, garbage bags,use of 4 beach chairs, beach umbrella, pool noodles and cooler. He sent detailed check-in instructions along with helpful information about the area. He called before, during and after our stay to make sure everything went well for us.
