UNA Hotels Century Milano

"It’s a lovely hotel near the Milano centrale station. Very easy to get to, if you feel like you’re walking into somewhere Thea resembles the back of an industrial area then you’ve found it. It’s actually really easy but I can understand how people would struggle. We were unsure about where we were walking but just kept going and none of the workmen said anything. We weren’t there for long, literally an overnight stay but the hotel is lovely and the room was brilliant. Missed having a small seating area as we had the sofa bed made up and there was space for a couple of comfortable chairs near the bed but other than that, lovely spacious and comfortable room. Breakfast is unusual, as a Brit I found it quite funny seeing mashed potato, carrots, roast potatoes and another vegetable out for breakfast but it didn’t offend lol. No apple juice which was a shame but I managed a cup of twinnings breakfast tea so I’ll let them off. Left bags in the hotel whilst we went exploring which was incredibly easy. We chose the hotel because of the short walking distance to the train station and it was perfect. There are closer but this is a lovely hotel and with my hotels.com points scheme, got it at a bargain price."

Hotel Funicolare

"We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Funicolare. We stayed in a family room, which was absolutely massive, with plenty of space for all of us and a very comfortable stay. The views were amazing and really added to the experience. We also had dinner at the hotel one evening and breakfast during our stay. The menu was varied, with plenty of choice, and everything we had was enjoyable. All of the staff were lovely and welcoming, but Luana at reception deserves a special mention. She was incredibly kind and helpful. We had unfortunately made a mistake when booking and selected the wrong dates, but Luana was so gracious and understanding and went out of her way to help us resolve the issue. Her kindness made a stressful situation so much easier. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend Hotel Funicolare. Spacious rooms, beautiful views, good food and genuinely wonderful staff."
