Top Lamar River Hotel Reviews
Super 8 by Wyndham Gardiner/Yellowstone Park Area
10/10 Excellent
"This Super 8 was really nice. The room was very spacious for my partner and I. The staff was super helpful when checking in. And it was nice that the hotel offered coffee as early as 4am, knowing guest would be leaving early to head into the park. I would definitely stay here again when visiting the park."

Ridgeline Hotel at Yellowstone, an Ascend Collection Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"well we arrived at 11pm and left at 5am for Yellowstone. Staff was awesome very friendly but I would not stay here again. Too expensive. It is basically a Super 8. The shower was a plastic enclosure big enough for one and a tiny "one" at that it. I get it: location, location, location but $300 for a road side motel? There was a giant spider in the bathroom in the morning as well. For $300 a night and full parking lot you would think they could have some adequate pest control. On a good note in less than 3 minutes we were at the park entrance. I believe this is the best spot to get to Lamar Valley -- it took us about 70 minutes to get there. "
Mammoth Hot Springs & Cabins - Inside the Park

NEW! On Bear Creek~ Treed Seclusion~ Serene~ 4 Living Rooms~ 4 Miles to Gardiner
10/10 Excellent
"Jean is a fantastic host, communicates promptly and as often as you ask questions and I asked a lot. The property is perfect for a family that needs room for the kids to run around inside and out, yet it also gives multiple privacy areas to have some alone time. Our grandsons had a wonderful time playing with rocks in the creek. The local town is quaint, the grocery store is adequate and fairly priced for where it is. Plenty of rafting opportunities. Restaurants were subpar but we saved money by eating at home. The kitchen has nice things to work with, we were able to cook whatever we wanted. Be patient with the dirt road, you’ll get used to it quickly but wouldn’t suggest arriving at night the first day. We were there when it was warm but if you open the windows at night then close them in the morning it cools the house for the entire day. Please honor the no shoe policy, it makes the house so much cleaner and children can play on all the nice carpets. We stayed here because it was closest to Lamar Valley and we wanted to see animals. We did the grand loop two times, went to the Wolf and Grizzly discovery center and Yellowstone lake on different days, so you can do it all. Pack a lunch and you’ll reduce the trip cost, unless you hit all the gift shops like we did. Bozeman airport is not that far away. Over-all this is a highly recommended property."
Gardiner Getaway: your cozy cabin near Yellowstone National Park! [Unit 2]
10/10 Excellent
"Very close to the north entrance. Definitely, very clean and well stocked with amenities. Wifi worked really well. Also, the instructions provided were very clear. Google maps took us to a different address where the neighbors were really nice to guide us to the right place, that too in the midnight. Grateful to them.Would very much recommend this stay."
Mammoth Hot Springs
8/10 Good
"The room was clean and the staff was very professional and polite. We were there in July with temperatures in the 80’s, so no AC in the entire building made it pretty uncomfortable. It’s a pretty neat old hotel and I’m glad we stayed there."
