The Blue Spruce is an unpolished gem. It is a classic motel on a US Route. Park in front of your room. Actual keys for the rooms. Room was clean. Beds were comfy. Good hot water in the shower. Had a great night sleep before getting back on the road. Only slight knock is the strong air freshener. But we got used to that.

The rooms are nice, plenty of room, and very comfortable beds. Being 1 floor is a plus when you’re doing extended stay and you have lots of luggage to unload. Will definitely choose again!

Check in was easy. We stayed one week. Used the pool almost every day with grandkids. It and the spa needs some maintenance but it didn’t bother us. Staff was very helpful.

I booked on short notice off of the internet. I was surprised, in a good way. I thought it was a cheap hotel and the truth is that it is a value added property. It was Quiet, clean and ground level. The staff was very nice, she told me about everything closing up and Sunday most places are closed in Lamar, Co. I was going to book a room on the way back but they did not have two rooms they were booked up. In the morning I checked out early and it was quick. I will stay here again on my next trip to DFW.

Clean room, clean sheets, clean bathroom. As a motor court I like being able to park right outside my room. While the building and rooms are a bit dated, everything was in good shape. Bathroom fixtures have been updated recently - they look new. The grounds are well maintained, even manicured. I’ll stay here again.
