"The accommodation was superb. Unfortunately we had to curtail our stay. The approach to the property was very narrow and the situation was on a valley terrace.We worried about our dogs safety.The owners (hosts), were excellent, very pleasant and sympathetic. As we wanted to do visits on a daily basis, the thought of driving on the narrow access road at the end of every day deterred us."

"We stayed in one of the gites. The surroundings are stunning- distant views across the Herault in a wonderfully renovated building. Autumn chestnuts all around and calm surrounds. About 15 mins drive from pretty Olargues. Le Chene backs on to another gite and when this was occupied, we could hear everything they were doing. "First off, the woman who opened up the villa was extremely rude and only showed my daughter in law around the villa, insisting everyone else should wait outside. Afer 15 minutes, I'd had enough and went in telling this lady we were coming in. Added to this, the smoke alarms throughout the villa did not work, and as there was no way of securing the separate apartments, we had to close the metal shutters at night. With no smoke alarms, this is unbelievably dangerous. The facilities were adequate...
